So, according to Tommy's original post...if anyone adds to the auction, it's extended by an additional 24 hours. That being said, just to avoid any confusion on anyone's part...by my calculations with the additional "loot" added to the auction, the new closing day should be Wednesday, 4/14/21 10pm Tommy's time. I love the idea of extending the auction this way. It could be 5 minutes before everyone thinks it's ending and someone adds something else to the auction and then it gets extended. This could go on for quite awhile this way...which is pretty awesome! I just wanted to make sure everyone is on the same page.

Here's a sample of the highest grade Wyoming moss agates I have. So Randy is that what they call Sweetwater Agate?

I picked it up just off the North side of I-80 in Sweetwater county just 20 minutes West of Green River ... Right by where you passed through last fall. I grew up in that country and since I can first remember most of the locals just called it moss agate. When I was a kid that was the first good rock I ever picked up and every time I hold a piece it takes me back to 1964 when I started this love affair with rocks.

It sure looks like sweetwater agate to me. I hope to go back there this summer around the end of June for a couple of weeks. I sure like the rock hounding there. The wind….well thats another story. I found some nice agates and a bunch of banded Jasper while I was there. The Jasper came from the Tin Cup area north west of Jeffery City. Maybe I can find my first piece of Jade then too.

I forgot about the extension clause when something is added.

I've been working from dark to dark the past few days (4am to midnight today) and my mind is kind of shot at the moment. The participation in this is mind blowing and fun, and humbling to be honest and I can't believe I completely missed beefjello jumping in yesterday!

Tommy updated his OP with a summary of all the material so far on this auction and wow, what a nice treasure trove! Any potential bidders can check the OP to get a quick view of the total goodies to date.

I didn't get much time to work on rocks today, but I did get started on filling up a medium flat rate box. Here's about 5 lbs of agates and jaspers that will be included plus the 3 lbs of peas. My goal is about 23 lbs for the mfrb. It would be nice to know what size tumblers the bidders have.
