It seems like my photography is even worse than my faceting. The purple one is my favorite. The big clear one is enormous. I added a lot of facets to it. CZ is heavy.

I applaud your effort at both faceting as well as photographing these! (I definitely don't have the ability to take great pictures! ) My gut is telling me they're aren't as bad as you think they are.

They certainly sparkle well! Did you do all of them, including the little ones? That clear CZ must be huge compared to those little ones!

brian The little sapphires are Chinese talent. I only did the big CZs, the alexandrite and quartz. The rest are flame fusion sapphires that I hope to work on someday. I’m no good at faceting but it’s fun. The 96 index wheel is the way to go. I polished a flame fusion ruby that my wife has worn for 30 years or so. She managed to beat the crap out of it despite the hardness.

I’m trying to inspire you perkins17 . Faceting is fun. If you have access to a facet machine, you should go for it. it’s fun but tough. you would be surprised what you can do with the right equipment.

They don't look all that bad to me. Faceting takes time to perfect. The more you facet, the better you get.

Thank you Robin. Those enormous flat tables took a while.
I’ll try to get a better photo. The CZ is amazingly brilliant

I’m trying to inspire you perkins17. Faceting tally is fun but tough. 😂 Thanks! I will have to try it when I get back home.

Those things are so tough to photograph. With my wife’s help, this is the best I can come up with. That big white one has a lot more facets than a typical brilliant cut.

Hwy jasoninsd They took a couple hours each. Polishing the big tables took some time. The yellow cushion cut, rectangular one was the hardest to cut. CZ. Is not too expensive

I could easily see myself getting lost in the monotony (I mean this in the best possible way) of cutting each little facet. My brain likes it when order comes out of chaos.

Okay, so I finally got to look at these on my laptop versus my phone. That makes a big difference! LOL I think they really do look amazing. My eyes keep getting drawn to that large one!
