I get baby socks the dollar store. Protect hammer heads with them. Keeps moisture off the metal. Cute, too!! Right on Pat ! good info ! I didn't think of the dollar store Got the booties at Wally World didn't really know what I was looking for besides white tube soxs butte was staying observant for least expensive and any alternative we all know that the prices & if you can even find items are like we never experienced don't get me started on supply and demand issues altho I was thinking of starting thread asking for suggestion of what items people are missing on the shelf ? cave worthy and sure that list would get long anyway I digest..mostly the baby booties seem to be ideal hopefully were going to get some weather inversion in the area and I can go out and shoot some sunsets tonight is boring butte sooon

Put a sock on it, eh?
Doubt you’ll get a trademark on that one, Ed.
ps – I’d leave the silk panties out the prospectus as well. : )

It was a rough model for a patent application, Rich Once the idea catches on will market the silk version For the connoisseurs of fine camera lens cannon coverings The lower budget ones will be 100% cotton, tho Lens Protector of the Looms M ohS oxs™ will make small silky ones for the ELF and wool version for the northern climes

I been monitoring the milkweed daily,,,mostly And hoping to catch Monarchs Only one I saw- was the butter shadow & it hasn;'t been around for about 2 weeks So I don’t what the cycle is? A ranger must have snipped off one of the pods It was huge, w/ some sort of yellow fungi growing on it And black ants crawling. Guess they figured it was unhealthy? Not sure when those pods bust open The blooms are in holding pattern...

I thought milkweed looked like dandelions! Wondered what your big plant was. Looked up milkweed. Looks just like your plant!! I wonder if our local nurseries carry it. Thanks for the education, mohs

Ha I know very little about milkweed When I did a cursory Google search To try and identify these strange plants in Papago I came up with that they were a form of mistletoe It was Jean rockpickerforever that set me straight as usual,,,mostly she supplied the identifying link en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calotropis_proceraAs mentioned earlier the City of Phoenix was passing out Milkweed seed packet to hikers Guess they want to encourage Monarchs The Papago Calotropic Procers Milkweed plant,,,well… can’t imagine that is they type of Milkweed the City of Phoenix is encouraging the home gardener to grow? Those plants have me really interested. So strange in the desert setting I’ll have to ask a ranger about the origin, how long they been there ect…. Being that I have lots of free time, & somewhat active, w/ some resources; I’m learning much more of what around, I think

Daza really a fine find Son Of Beach Chad! Really cool never have found small piece like that I think it gets overlooked Gonna concentrate mor on dat! All the large pieces I’ve come across has a quartz seam embedded, Like yours. Interesting Gneiss is some of the oldest rock exposed on earth en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morton_Gneissassume that stone rolled naturally Or Did you tumbled it? Tanks for posting ! Ahh it was a first for me. The dark ones maybe are quartzite, but hadn't seen the quartz poke through on any of them yet.
Always a laker

By Jove, Ed, I tawt I taw a puddy tat.
Can you pull the date off the jpg and see if you were anywhere near the eqinox for peak puddy?
Save the date/set the alarm for on or about 3/20/23, grab the Elph off the shelph and go stalking that elusive pumaranian for us. We need megapixels! : )

If I've got it a little more dialed in by then, though I'm pretty happy with yesterdays sunset pics, turned out better than the cell phone reference pics, well, one of them anyway. Not so much here Cell Vs Nikon But this one was better Cell Nikon
