I like it. It could pass for Royal Sahara Jasper.

I was shocked how easy this material cut so I googled Biggs. First hit ...wiki. It claims this stuff is basically silicified mud formed from volcanic ash After working so much agate I got to admit it cut like mud! The upside is that it took an amazing polish!

I'm such a dummy! LOL
All month long, I've been planning on using a piece that I got from a box "miscellaneous" pieces I got off eBay...it had a great piece from Montana...which was on the list of acceptable locations. I have NO idea how the heck I missed the whole JASPER part of the contest! LOL - I had a gorgeous piece of Montana AGATE picked out! Oops...back to the drawing board! LOL

You really didn't. Brain-farts just happen. And memory can be selective when a fun idea takes hold. Just part of the fun of getting older.

The Northwest probably leads the world in jaspers so why the paucity this month? Big rush at the end? There's still 4 days left! Plus there were a couple of us who couldn't read directions! LOL (And yes...I had to look up paucity! LOL)

Parfive, the northwest material is so good that a number of us don't have a lot of uncut material in inventory. Maybe someone should start a post for the specific types and see what we have in our displays/collections.

oldschoolrockerBeautiful cab. Well done! I suspect the majority of us see a personal place in this cab. For me...the Northumberland Straits.

I wasn't planning to enter this month's contest but after moving an end cut this Picasso Jasper appeared. I really like that material.

Well, here's my last minute entry. I didn't think the clouds would clear today to get an outside picture...but they finally parted a bit. These were absolutely murderous trying to do the initial grind on the flat lap...I had to take a couple breaks just to get them ground down! LOL I thought I'd post a picture of the twins...but the entry for the contest is on the left in the group pic, which was taken inside...hence the color difference. Owyhee (Cripple Creek) Picture Jasper
