Thanks to all of you and esp Jonathan holajonathan who reminded me that you just have to DO IT (like Nike says), I got a nice day of cabbing in. I think I broke my record- I did 13 cabs. It's nice to have new wheels. I tell ya, that 60 grit sintered is the bees knees! Love it! I didn't have any issues. Nothing flew off the dop, no cracks opened up, none came apart, they all took a great polish. STELLAR day! I apologize in advance for the pictures. They don't do any justice to quite a few. My Canon on the kitchen table..... Mookaite. I love mookaite. However, I haven't seen any to my liking in a long, long time. BIG shield.
Calico lace agate, too bad you can't see it in person. It's lovely and has some nice druzy.
Some kind of Mexican poppy. The slab is beautiful, the cabs; not so much.
Willow creek. Nice pastel colors and gorgeous polish.
Chrysocolla in quartz. I think this is called Lightning Stone.
Really awful picture of some dino bone. You can't see all the pink. This was a very thin wedge. Dino bone- waste not; want not.
I LOVE charoite. I was oggling some that fishnpinball had and he was kind enough to send me this piece. It's a big cab! I cabbed the whole piece he sent. This is the most stable charoite that I have cabbed. It even gave the 60 grit a run for the money. Took a beautiful polish, too. I bought a cheap lot of thin slices on eBay. This was a thin wedge and odd shape, but I love the pattern. Dryhead or Teepee?
Copper brick. This stuff shines like no one's business. Big cab and a pleasure to work.
Stefoinite- much nicer than the picture.
Tiffany stone. Again- much nicer in person. It looks like it got a little wonky in the grind. Lots of different hardnesses. I'll have to go back and tighten it up.
Deschutes round. Sorry for the crappy pic. I was holding the camera and it looks like it's a little blurry.
Paiuite agate. Got a piece from Tommy a long time ago. It made some awesome cabs. The picture doesn't do it justice. The following are from the last time I cabbed. It was when we had the large cab contest.
This is some of that really cool graphic granite. I believe this is from Jean rockpickerforever . Dendritic silver ore and malachite. This is a huge cab. I planned to enter it in the contest, but it was 2mm too small in width.
Beautiful variscite
Some kind of copper conglomerate. MUCH better in person.
Rhodochrosite
Crazy lace with raw edge and druzy.
Turkish lapis lace
A small stone from Jean rockpickerforever . You can't tell in the picture, but it is chatoyant. Really pretty. If you made it this far, thanks for looking. It's been a good day.

Awesome to see you get some done. Love that charoite, and I did tell you it was the good stuff. I can only hope to find more of that quality.

Wow what a great variety! I love that silver ore with malachite, I see black cats with their hair raised up all over that cab! That's the only one I've cabbed. Pretty soft and oh so messy.

Those are all awesome, everyone is worth a second..or third look. Thanks! I'm kicking myself for not using the light tent. The character of the cabs shows so much better.

Great selection. I bought a pound of Mook that I really liked from a seller in Australia. Shipping was more than the rock. I bought a 12 pound piece and then my large saw started to fall apart. I cut off some chunks and may hand feed the large piece into the saw to get smaller pieces so I can slab with my 10 inch. You are welcome to the small pieces that I already cut/hacked. I really like Mook but it isn't a good seller for me so I'm in no hurry to deal with it.
