All I did was tell you that if you didn't start cabbing fencejumper was planning on throwing you in some sort of lapidary dungeon. As for the cabs, lots of great colors in this group. The Stefoinite is amazing. I've never heard of it, but now I want some. Same for the lapis lace -- a very cool material. I have long tried to ID what you call Calico lace agate. I'd like to buy some cutting rough, but I've never seen rough for sale. Thank you! Of the 3 three you mentioned, they are all harder to come by now. Lapis lace cuts like a marble and may be one. Stefoinite is a jasp agate and calico is straight up agate. All are worth picking up if you see it.
Paul dare not! I'll throw rocks at him. LOL!
I've got tumbled pieces of the calico agate that came in mixed tumbling rough I picked up a few years ago. So I know first hand how pretty it is. I've just never seen slabs or cutting rough, although searching completed auctions of Ebay shows that it does pop up from time to time.

WOW! What a cabbing session! And with great results. Picking favorites would mean to name almost all of them, but for me the absolute eye-catcher was the silve ore.

rockjunquie, It looks as if your Muse has returned with a lot of pent-up creativity! Great group of cabs and an amazing amount of production in a single cutting session. Good for you! Hope to see more fine work emerging soon from your little workshop.

Standing up from a squat is noisier than it used to be. But I can still move a 500lb drum, and occasionally pass a young ‘un on my bike.

I was in the zone all day.

Honestly, I don't mind it, except that I can't leave Gene out.

Thank you! I have some that I am dying to cab, but I am forcing myself to work through a lot that have been dopped up for a long time. I'll have to break out the saw soon.
