Good to know. I was under the (incorrect) impression that you did low domes as a default, whether for aesthetic or efficiency reasons. My preference for dome height depends on the material more than anything. To my eyes, a well shaped low dome reflects light just as nicely as a high dome. But some materials are simply more interesting when the pattern seems to bend around the high dome. Like this:
