Well Steve Old Man Winter is knocking on Utah's door. Some shots of a bad day that turned into a nice evening. Think of me when you're on the beach good man, gaetz A couple more I watched this cloud engulf this cirque and this military jet fly overhead while playing ball with my son What kinda plane is this guys? Thanks to JC for correctly ID'ing that plane. Here's a cool link to the facts and photos. It was really cool to see as it lumbered thru the air and made a turn above the house. What a real, rare treat to see that badboy. www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/c-17.htmwww.globemaster.de/c-17/www.boeing.com/defense-space/military/c17/flash.html

Good God man! Is that the view from your house?! Scr*w the beach -- I'd never tire of that mountainscape.
Thanks for sharing.

Hey, you be making me homesick! I bet the Grey Ghost lives in those hills. I bet you can hear his calls. I would love to live just above the snow line. With no road.

Brian-
Yes, I feel lucky to have such a good view. I guess that's why I took some pictures to share. It just seemed like a perfect evening after the day was so bleak. I think the visibility during the day was only a couple of miles.
Glad you liked them.

Gaetz: Nope. family's from Texas but I'm a native born sun loving Californian. My first question to the realtor when we bought the ranch was " Does it snow here?" *L* Made certain I bought below the snow line! I like looking at it but hate walking around or driving in it! Mel

Gaetz, Thanks for the pics of good ole home! I do honestly miss the mountains but not so much the snow. I really enjoyed those mountains. I spent as much time in them as I could. I got used to the F-16's flying overhead on a daily basis...almost too much. I'm sure more snow is heading your way. It's been raining non-stop here for the last few days. In fact, my dried up creek bed behind my home, is now a nice little running stream again. thanks for posting those pics of Utah Mountains. I'll check and see if I have any pictures of my home-town. Those mountains are quite unique with the three peaks. Do you live in West Jordan? It looks like that end of the valley. Get your snow shovel ready man. If you ever get up to Oregon...you're always welcome here at our house. Steve

Steve-
You hit the nail on the head. I do live in West Jordan. Moved here from Sandy about a year and a half ago. We like it pretty much and do get good views and great sunsets.
Look forward to seeing some of your shots. As for the weather, my wife went and rented about 6 dvd's while we take cover. We're hunkered down with the fireplace on and movies going. Looks like it'll be a lazy weekend.
Later, Gaeter

Gaetzchamp - thats a nice place - nice views - weather - heights - clouds - shadows - snow - layers - cold - warm.
All in a few shots.
Not a bad planet we live on is it?
Cheers for those shots.
