I know the clock is ticking down on my two weeks and the good news is I've finished the wrap. I'm in the middle of a brutal run of work days until at least Monday if they don't pile on, but Tuesday for sure I am off. I'm also not really happy with how I did on it as it's been a couple of years since my last one of these and I was rustier than I thought I was. Unfortunately for the next person in the list I only had enough wire for one attempt Anyway, by Tuesday 6/20 I will have sucked it up and send it out.

All, I wasn't sure if I was going to say this on the forum but Saturday I got sick with Covid like a ton of bricks hit me. I've had an over 102 fever since Saturday afternoon and a myriad of over symptoms that I'm dealing with now. I tested positive on a home test and then Eva took me down for a PCR test this morning (for her also) so I'm waiting on final confirmation of that and Kaiser is supposed to be sending me a prescription for an anti-viral. Thank you drocknut for your patience.

Weirdly enough my sense of smell disappeared today. Not weird. Common symptom/indicator since the Corona first showed up. Anti-viral is good, skip the horse paste. Good luck to both of you.

Thanks, I think why I said "weirdly enough" is since early in the pandemic I've always had this mental picture of sense of smell being one of the first indicators. Every time I got the sniffles I would quickly test to see if I could still smell lol. In my experience now it took till day four before it disappeared which makes total sense because that's when my upper respiratory went to hell. All, thank you everyone for the prayers and good wishes. Aside from a completely unexpected and very intense skin pain side effect I'm dealing with, the actual covid symptoms are mostly gone now and I'm starting to get my strength back.

Eva's on day three and still in the fever stage and she's doing fine. She always takes these things in stride - a little extra sleep and rest and she's back up cleaning the house and making dinner (thank God!) haha.

Great to hear you guys are on the mend! The good news is that once you're totally better you'll have real immunity!

The good news is that once you're totally better you'll have real immunity! Depends. BA.4 and BA.5 are more infectious than existing variants — including BA.2 and BA.12.1, which have been dominant in Connecticut — and also appear to evade both vaccine and natural immunity to a greater degree than previous variants did.
That means people who were infected with COVID-19 last winter are likely vulnerable to reinfection from the new strains and that even those who had the disease this spring might face some risk.
“People who are counting on, ‘I’m free for a couple months now because I got COVID,’ not true,” said Dr. Ulysses, chief epidemiologist at Hartford HealthCare.

Glad you are both on the mend! And now that you have NATURAL REAL TOTAL IMMUNITY, should the Covid tyrants start throwing their imagined weight around and forcing people to take more of the poisonous clot shots, you can say "no thanks!"
