That sagenite turned out awesome, I can't believe that turd of rock had all that going on. Was wondering if you were gonna show off.
And those red inclusion are going to make some sweet cabs.
I still think you should at least show the cuts of the polka dot, just out of curiosity

A few more pictures before this thread trails off forever. One of the road side stops had this formation across the road and it was scattered beneath the cliff face. Wild to think I'm holding something that old...
See I wasn't lying about a certain somebody, this was the secret back alley stash

Found this guy with his head buried in the the totes at the Rockshed. Kept murmuring something about being Jason and from South Dakota 🤔 Anyway, he was licking rocks so he seemed normal enough to take a quick picture with. Couple more days I'll be home and post a few more highlights. Hi jasoninsd and Son Of BeachNice to put a face to the names we see.

looking good Chad! Hot, windy, and desolate I been there Well not at those basalt columns Which is really a neat picture I wonder if those grasses Are of type that get brambles in your socks ? Thin little stickers Lot of that on my trailsting Looks like your closing in on the ocean & the the end of your trail. Take care….. How many miles have you logged? Over 2000? Philosopher Stone Ed about 100 yards in it hit me that I was in snake territory. I just had my toe shoes and a camera.
I decided to go back and grab my boots and some socks, like those would've helped.
Wild wild west indeed.

Tony The guy I talked to said it had been sold out for like 40 years and he was able to scrape together a handful of pieces in that time
Had I not joined RTH, I probably would've believed him lol.
