Randy!! I'll have to keep posting, waiting to hear you say 'darlin'! Amyk, I really don't know for sure how long it takes me. But basically a day of working, getting up to do the dishes, work a little, do laundry, work a little, eat....and so on. I know it's a matter of taste, but I really love doing it. I started wrapping about the time I started on this forum. I just have to be careful about what I share here, with all these devout rock fans, lol, because sometimes the wire covers parts of the stone (oh nooooz!!), lol.

I haven't been here in a while, but it's nice to see familiar names, and new ones! I took a before and after shot for fun, and thought I'd share ;D Before: ..and After: The main cab is turritella. I LOVE cabbing turritella. The green cab? A freebie about 20 years old I got in a grab bag from Fire Mountain. Also, freshwater pearls and a sterling silver bead. Mostly wrapped in sterling and gold filled 28 gauge wire. It's called 'OZ'

Some of the large craft stores (Michael's and Joann's Fabric here in CA) have 50% off coupons. You can use colored copper wire, and you'll need cutters, then I'd get the flat nose pliers. And the tutes here by Randy and others ARE a great place to start! And have fun. It's VERY addicting!

Gorgeous! It's dangerous, coming back to these boards...I'm beginning to covet all kinds of rock, and I KNOW I have enough to keep me busy for a couple of lifetimes...

Hi Jamie!! I've been missing from here too, and juuuussst rev'd up the Genie, and played with some chrysocolla (sp?) I got from you! I missed all the folks here, and missed playing with rock~ it's nice to be back, and see everyone again... My relocated AZ boy is a CA fella now, and I'll have to scheme in some camping-where-there-are-rocks soon! I started wrapping again, having been distracted by boro glass, cycling, knitting, and other things (setting up house w/ Rich, lol), but I really do love wrapping/rocks best. So I'm back! I sell about 6-10 pieces a year, and have one small gallery in NC that I have work in. I remember visiting Rich before he came out...omg, it was so freak'in HOT< and it never really cooled down!! It was like an oven...but you guys DO have the best rockhounding...

We'll see which way SpongeBob Squarepants swings; he's all wrapped up with his best bud, Patrick Star!! I'll send them on, when I get Nancyid's address. Uh, I forgot to take a pic of the cab unwrapped. What do I post a pic of??

Yay, I got the box today! The wrap is even more beautiful in person!! Thanks, Shannon and Tony!!!
I'll pull out my wire and tools after I stare at the stone for a while and figure out what to do!
So it'll go to Nancyid next, yes?
