Oh man, sitnwrap, it WAS hard not to just keep walking and looking for rock!! I may have to get tips from Bejewelme! I very much hope I'll have a lot more rock hounding trips in my future, Steve! Haha, Tony, I told him about you packing out a boulder, and the size of your saws!! I still expect to come back here, and see that you, Rodney, and Dave finally made it back to that blue bouldar of agate at Burro Creek, and brought that baby back! We kind of daydreamed a bit in the future, and having our own ATV and two-way radios, and we pretty much figured out he could drop me off at a spot to look for rocks, and he can go off and ride around, then come back for me and my pile of rocks!! Sounded good to me.

Gorgeous!!!! Good to learn about bo too. I won some on ebay, and was SO disappointed. Looked like a got nothing but a snowball of mud. So I tossed it outside into a bucket. Now I'm thinking I better find that mudball and take a closer look! It's such a hard material for me to work with, you have to be part Jedi it seems...lol.

Isn't my rock too cool!?? (and the dude is too, Roxy!! You'll have to trust us on this, Rogue! ) We weren't really in the middle of nowhere, it just felt like it from a non-rock hounder's experience that hasn't been out with some of our very own RTH'rs!! We could have walked about an hour and been at the freeway! Um, Michaeljohn? Your world is called 'extreme rockhunting'!! I don't know if I'll ever get there! lol. I need to make him something from that rock, and maybe that'll help too!

My first was the Burro Creek field trip, and I just got back from visiting my boyfriend in Phoenix and we managed to get out of town once and I got to introduce him to my passion for rocks! Thanks to Beef, who gave me directions for a place to look, we took off. ;D He's not into rocks, but was a good sport! He wasn't too sure about dirt roads in his 2wd truck, and lack of cell phone coverage in case we broke down, and being in the middle of nowhere but we found the place, and I spent a happy hour looking in a wash for rocks!! Of course, I could have easily spent all day, but being his first time, I only had him drop 2 or 3 hints before I agreed we should head back... I never found Beef's Oreo Blizzard agate, since I don't have the 'eyes' you pro's do! But I found this one 7 lb'r that I was really happy to find!! another view: And a pic of, hopefully, my future rockhound, in front of the wash we walked down, north of Phoenix. He's a keeper too! A Master Diver, I've already gotten him to verbally agree to dive for jade for me after he moves here to CA in about a year! ;D

Ha! Gotta answer quick, cause in a couple of weeks, it's going UP...I'm 49. I don't know what age I was when I started going around as a kid on my hands and knees looking though the rounded landscaping rock my dad put in! Had a tumbler going in the garage, and my dad even drove me to a couple of rock shops! Came back to it around 4 years ago by taking a cabbing class - cabbing had been an adult dream of mine for decades! Then took up wrapping a year after that, because I had all these beautiful cabs about! This is an awesome group of people here - like Catmandewe and others have often said, it feels like family!

Wow, I can't imagine you being able to see that dark and murky jade in I assume dark and murky AND turbulent water, and knowing what beauty lay within! That blue jade absolutely ROCKS!!
If you and meet Bobby in the summer months, after I'm off for summer vacation, I'd love to tag along!!

Beautiful flow, very elegant! I love this new style - I think it's cool how we get inspired by each other.

Happy B-day Tony T!! I always imagine you with wood in one hand and rock in the other...what to do, what to do....!! Oh wait, scratch that. With Amber in the room, that question would be moot...lol!!

They're selling wire at the 500 oz price - for any amount of wire you need. Good time to stock up! Just a heads up...

Looks great, Tony! I've just started doing shows in the last couple of years, just a couple of local ones with a girlfriend. It's the experience more than selling for me so far, and you never know who'll see you! Did you have business cards to hand out?
It's nice getting feedback over stuff too. And just friendly chatting up with people.
I did a Holiday show at a retirement community - NOT a good show! All the residences are on fixed income and have had to minimize, living in a small apartment. Won't do that again. I've done a local outdoor festival that is friendly and nice, and I want to return to that one every year. I'll have to look into gun and knife shows out here! That's a good idea. It seems that the primarily men that go would be open to buying their women gifts at one and thus be able to avoid the mall! lol
