Gorgeous! Several of them look like they could have come from Pipeline Canyon. Rodney was up there about six months ago. Seems that they turned you on to some of the "cream of the crop"!

Looks like Victor's Lace to me. I've seen it in white and off-white shades.

The last three auctions I did (A, B, & C) had some real nice lace from Agate Road. I'm real anxious to see the slabs. Unfortunately, very little of the agate from that area has concentric bands, but I'll "settle" for the lace LOL.
Mel, that "Bubble Lace with aragonite pseudomorphs in laguna colors" really blew my mind. I've never seen anything like that before. It almost looks like there's abalone shell in it. Where is that from?

Shannon, that's SO pretty, and SO thoughtful! You and Lori are both 1 in 1,000,000, and it warms my heart to witness such friendship.
(((BIG HUGS))) to both of you!

I "know" that back pattern. It's the same pattern that occurs on manganese ore. Hold-on, I'll go find some and snap a pic or two ... Since Rhodochrosite is Manganese Carbonate, it makes sense that this "stuff" would occur, but I'm not sure what it is. I don't know if it's a crystalization, an oxidization, a combination of the two, or what. On manganese, the "stuff" is a separate outside layer, about 1/8 - 1/4" thick, and it's barely attached to the ore. Sometimes it detaches just by handling the ore, otherwise it can be removed from the ore with very little effort. I've even included a few pieces of the "stuff" as freebies in peoples' boxes, just because it's a curious oddity. FYI, this manganese was collected in the O-w-l-h-o-l-e Springs area, when Steve and I were hoping to find lapidary grade psilomelane. The next time I go out there, I'll be looking for psilomelane again, but in a different section of the area. If my research is correct, it may be in an area much closer to the springs and MUCH easier to access. Hehehe I wish I'd find Rhodochrosite out there, but to my knowledge none has ever been found there. I know that Rhodochrosite has been found at the Mohawk mine, which is only about 60 miles from there.

Plan weekend trips further north where it's a bit cooler. Leave Friday evening, come back Sunday evening. There's a lot of good hounding up in Utah, and maybe you can hook up with one of the guys on here who lives up there.

Price reduced from $35 to $30. Hope this helps you. I posted some close-ups of the Johnnie material in the Member Photographs section. They'll give you a better view of what it actually looks like. Johnnie Close-Ups

Here's my brain rock. If I had a big saw, I'd cut it. It may be Celestine, in which case it could be like a geode, filled with light blue crystals.

Michael Jackson was one heck of an entertainer. I think it's important that folks bear in mind that he had his day in court and was found innocent. He was a major superstar until the accusations started flying, and they destroyed him. He never did really bounce back. Also, something that few people know is that he had a house here in Pahrump, where he stayed occasionally. He was recently spotted in the local Walmart, too. Apparently he had heard that little boys' pants were half off. Sorry, Michael ... couldn't resist. Farrah, well, I never knew much about her, but she sure was a pretty lady, and she never seemed to attract the negative attention that most stars do. For a long time, I knew that she was battling cancer, and I felt bad for her. Hopefully she's in a better place now.

This is 25+ pounds of a gorgeous mixture of tumbling rough. There's purple jasper and quartzite, from the legendary Johnnie mining district of Nye County, Nevada. There's Chrysocolla and other copper-related minerals in quartz, also from the Johnnie area. There's Boysenberry quartzite, and there's agates and chalcedony from Agate Road. I took a lot of pics so that you can see that this is a high-graded batch ... all spectacular material. Once these go in the box, I'll add more stones to fill-er-up ... nice stones ... I don't do freebies JUST to fill the box. I PROMISE you that you will LOVE this entire batch! The sizes of these pieces are what are commonly sold as tumbling rough. If you'd like the pieces smaller for your small tumbler, I'd be happy to do that for you, at no additional cost.Although I've always gone way overboard with taping-up my boxes, the US Postal Service has recently managed to desecrate a couple of my boxes, so I'm now doubling-up on the tape. They won't be easy to open, so please be careful not to hurt yourself if you're using a sharp instrument. The price is $35 $30, which includes free Priority Mail shipping within the continental US (I pay the $10.35). Make your payment to my PayPal account, groovatism@hotmail.com, THEN PM me to let me know you've made the purchase, so that I can mark the lot as SOLD. For those who prefer not to pay online, I also accept US Postal money orders. If you live outside the continental US and wish to buy, please contact me before paying so that the shipping cost can be calculated. Also bear in mind that international FRBs have a 20 pound weight limitation.

This is 25+ pounds of gorgeous purple jasper and quartzite from the legendary Johnnie mining district of Nye County, Nevada. These stones have many different shades and textures of this material, so that you have a nice representative variety of what I found out there. Your WF will get a good workout slicing through these! Once these go in the box, I'll add more stones to fill-er-up ... nice stones ... I don't do freebies JUST to fill the box. Although these pics aren't too bad, they don't come anywhere close to doing these stones justice, in the least. MY jaw dropped when I saw this stuff, and I'm not easily impressed.
