Jim, this could have been so much worse! I am thankful that he has had a good surgeon and that he is on the road to recovery! A positive outlook will help him so much! The first few weeks will be tough followed by some physical therapy. I have head that that is even worse but perseverance will get him back where he needs to be and this will only be a bad, distant memory for him. I will keep him in my prayers.

Bobby,
I once saw a picture of a forest fire from above. It had the flames that were golden and often smoky rimmed showing through the cloud of smoke. This cab really reminds me of that! Beautiful job!

The cabs turned out great and look best with your crystal backing. Seems to really sharpen the colors. Fran

No real precautions other than the usual to protect your eyes and lungs. It is a form of chalcedony rather than a quartz. Even so, in my own experience, the lighter blue can often undercut so work with a light hand. Sometimes the fibers that cause the beautiful Chatoyance will not be firmly cemented in the stone and pull out right as you are almost finishing. Just take it slow and easy and you should have some real beauties. Fran
