this one as a long ways to gohs what I find interesting about barrel cactus's is the seedlings seem to favor rock crevices I find many barrel's growing by rocks not sure if that by nature design? or just the lucky ones that fell & grew there because they don't get trampled or its a weather barrier type of thing? not sure,,,, mostly

I created a job for myself Rock curator at daxoo Arraign their rocks & Give the grounds geological appeal I wont bore ya w/ the details Butte I did haul this really cool yellow heavy granitic rock, from it emplaced ignored area. And replaced the dull gray felsic Salt River Rock/ Now its properly displayed in a up front heavy trafficked area O and that round glowing sun stone was my addition also really rocks

Don't get me started on a system of measurement with a base that divides by 3 vs one that doesn't, 5 is a mostly worthless prime number when it comes to geometry. 3 is the golden number. However, when it comes to engineering without troublesome repeating decimals, sexagesimal base 60 that the Babylonians used is arguably the best system, with the French re-invention of base 10 being the laziest and most worthless, even the assumptions they used to compute their base for volume and weight turned out to be in error, yet it remains, along with their history of the guillotines for those who objected. So yeah, freedom... But that argument doesn't belong here. Since our slabs are a mix of for us and stuff to sell, we have a variety of thicknesses, but mostly around 1/4 inch. In the FranTom 18 saw that is 7 turns, the FranTom 14 is 6 turns, Mojave/Royal style 10" is either 4 or 5 depending on what side of 1/4 we want. Now keep all that straight when slabbing plus whatever else I'm preoccupied with... Whenever I get the 16" HP going it will probably be 5 turns, if I recall. For my intarsia and doublet/triplets or quartz caps I go as thin as .080" to 1/8" We don't need no stinking mathematicians! Chop

know I mentioned this before so I'll mention it again I was in tornado alley during the 1980 Kalamzaoo outbreak en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1980_Kalamazoo_tornadowas in basement at 2 in the morning that sucker was out there next morning the amount of huge Oak trees uprooted and tossed like splints serious Ayy Ed, I had just heard about this a couple years after living there for years. There is even footage of it progressing downtown. Pretty sure it was an afternoon event from what I read... Yo Chad ! The Kalamazoo event it was in the afternoon A Tuesday afternoon. I knew a city inspector who told of incredible stories. A 2 story house lifted from it foundation, turned 90 degrees, and set back down on the foundation. Well that what I was told Plus There were warnings all week long I was working in cabinet shop in White Pigeon They sent us home early (about twoish) because of the threat I was living in the Three River/ Constantine area at the time So a fairly good distance 10 or so miles Being from Phoenix and not having much experience with Tornado’s They told to drive into a ditch if I see one no problem ! I’ve never gotten out since ha ha It was early that Saturday morning was when the sirens went off at the rural house i was staying in. That when the basement event occurred. It was an experience! Lots of storming outside. Then that Saturday morn is when I went for the drive and saw all the huge trees uprooted. About 8 of them, Huge oak trees yanked out of the ground with huge holes. It was quite a site!. In 1989 I lived in Aurora , Colorado One afternoon we had the siren go off there also I went outside and saw the dark force forming Luckily it didn’t touch down...
