The Goldfield cemetery is unique in its headstones that portray a colorful past. Just up the road is Tonapah where it's every bit as interesting.

Here's a MFRB, 20+ lbs of a variety of tumbling rough for sale. $30 and I'll cover the shipping. First one to claim it here on this thread gets it. It's mostly coprolite and some pet wood. A small bag of Apache tears, plus some other random stuff. I left the pieces in larger sizes so some cabs could be harvested if desired. Coprolite isn't difficult to break into smaller sizes if these are too chunky. Many of these pieces are end cuts and have some nice flat surfaces that will polish well. I'm in Ahhh...nvm
Don't sweat it. I'll have more in a similar package and will message you for first shot. Thanks

Nice! If you ever have any more to sell let me know! Will do. No telling what else I'll find as I make my way through the hoard.

TURD TUESDAY A horrific tragedy was narrowly averted today. In almost four years I forgot it was TURD TUESDAY until just now. I guess I was so mesmerized by Rick's cabs I just spaced it out and only by the grace of the gods of the Jurassic do I remember to post a photo before the day ends.

It's been nearly a year since I finished a batch. Really like how this Tiger's Eye turned out, material gifted by Rockindad RWA3006 what do you think Randy? Poo or Ohio Flint? I shouldn't have mixed those two... This piece of Ohio Flint made itself into a nice necklace piece Feeling pretty confident it's poo. Nice polish too!

Wish I could partake, but if I can't do obsidian, I can't do this. You'll master the obsidian one of these days Chris, but you are correct in that this bone is more difficult than obsidian. The trick is to polish the surface of the bone without grinding away the whole piece and we usually have to settle for less than perfect results in the traditional sense.

I have four SFRB's of dino gem bone for sale. The pieces aren't large enough to cab but would make small tumbling rough.
This stuff would best serve experienced tumblers because it tends to undercut and needs finesse to get it right. It's also a little delicate compared to agate or jasper.
I got it in an estate sale from old folks who picked it up during the uranium rush.
I'm asking $25 per box and I pay shipping. Please, only one box per person so we can spread the love around.
The first four people to say dibs here on this thread get a box.

Kinda? That's magnificent and look at that shine! Doesn't look like it undercut too badly. Yeah, my comment was a deliberate understatement. It's a bit undercut at 10X magnification and I'm thinking of giving it a HXTAL treatment to smooth it out. Haven't decided yet. I just showed the photo to several people who know nothing about cabs and coprolites. They were amazed at the beauty. Bravo, you did well.

As always - very cool. I like those yellow flecks. I've seen the flecks in other specimens and they range from an off white to yellow. They seem to float in the transparent chalcedony and I haven't been able to figure out what they are. I think they're too big to be pollen and I probably ought to look at them under a microscope.
