I think the Lakers were like $6 lb for larger,$5 lb for small.Almandine garnets like $5 lb.Bought from them often, but the name eluded me until now.I'm gonna dig those lakers out and redo them in the Lotos now!!

Probably 6 years or so ago,I used to buy almandine garnets and small and large Lakers from this online rock shop.Cant remember name, bugs me now. Don't think they are in business anymore.Shoot some names out if anyone remembers. I used the garnets and small lakers as filler, sure worked good.

edit The name Bergs comes to mind.

It took the fellow that I bought these from many years to accumulate these Montana slab trimmings. His specialty was wind chimes. I got all I could because I knew I wouldn't be able to find anymore like this unless I made them myself. No way.

Hey Fossilman, just thinking about those small thin Montanas.A barnwood picture frame,or other wood you make frames out of,glue the pieces on a pane of glass,or maybe a mirror square.Wonder how that would look!Trying to figure out what to do with the ones I've polished.

I see Tumblerman as your new handle. LMAO James,I think I will stick with Fossilman.......Thumbs up The tumbling is enjoyable though.......I can see how a person could get hooked on it........ I don't understand what you mean,a person can get hooked on it? snuffy

When you cleaned the pulleys, did you make sure they were aligned perfectly when you put it back together? Always were out of line when I bought the hfers new, would pop a belt quickly if just a little bit off.Always replaced mine with lortone belts. I had 8 or 9 of those in the beginning, completely rebuilt finally with Lortone parts.

Lovely flowers! A cold front just blew in this morning. Lows near freezing tonight will shut down nursery business for a couple days.
