I fry chicken livers sometimes.Learned to fry them outside, and wear safety glasses. Some explode, and made the kitchen a mess.

I found a 'gently used Chicago Electric Power Tools Rotary Tumbler with a single 3lb. barrel' for $30 on Craigslist. Waste of money? Worth it? I won't bother if y'all say it's junk. I don't have the money for anything but an amazing deal. I had 6 or so years back.Highly recommend you save the money for a good tumbler. Will regret getting a harbor freighter in my opinion based on my experiences. If a person is determined to get a tumbler from them, get the dual barrel new at the store, with guarantee,so you can take it back and get another one when it konks out, which it will. snuffy

Still raining, 21 inches at my house since Friday night. One of the latest projections show the storm moving offshore sometimes Monday night and then picking up a bit of strength on Tuesday before it has another go at us on Wednesday! Sure hope that's wrong. If the rain projections hold true, we could be approaching 40 inches by Wed evening. Biblical!! Henry I see the heavy stuff go over yall, then it slacks off as it gets to us.I've gotten a little over 9 so far.So tired of watching radar that shows the same pattern over 2 days.Gotta get out of the house tomorrow!Good luck snuffy

A funnel cloud was just reported touching down about 2 miles from the house, we have had to tornado alerts in the past hour. The rain is coming in short intense bursts now, poured out 5 inches from rain gauge. Snuffy take care, this latest band is heading your way. Henry I see that, keeping eye on it. One day of this and going stir crazy. snuffy

To get the thread on a new track, should we be expecting some great new finds posted from southern Texas? Not going south enough, cept maybe Three Rivers area.

Henry,it just started raining here. The bands are tracking from you to us now.Gonna be a long week ahead looks like.Power outages are a main concern of mine,as are the tornadoes spinning off these bands. Not in pine country,so not many tall trees to fall on power lines, but many things can happen. Good luck!

It's hard to gauge how much rain we will get, some estimates up to 20 inches.I'm on higher ground so I cant flood. But it may be Wed or Thursday next week before it decides to leave the area. I'm afraid this is going to be a major catastrophe in the making for many areas in Texas over the next week.A hurricane like this hasn't been seen before.Usually they come ashore and move on rather quickly. But not this one.Gonna stall and meander around slowly, very slowly!

I have quite a few rocks that look like some of these that are posted here.I acquired them from an old rocker and were not identified when I picked through his many rockpiles,he wasn't with me. I wondered how much coprolite is coprolite,or some other type.I guess I don't know shit!

I use old sheets of galvanized corrugated tin to place my rocks on. Nothing ever grows through it.

We used muriatic acid to clean roofs if some stray stucco dropped on them. All the masonry trades used it to clean brick and concrete.Always was a common product here.Just have to be careful using it,dont splash it in your eyes.

Yeah, had a good year. All gone now except bell and jalapeno peppers. They will load up again this fall and have a good crop.Got to keep watering to keep them alive.Made some pepper jelly, recipe off surejell package, gonna have to make more this fall!Pretty darn good. snuffy We're only growing jalapenos this year. Got tired of rats getting into the tomatoes. Last year, killed 15 with snap traps until I gave up. Rats have stayed out of the jalapenos though. I love jalapeno jelly. Have you made habanero jelly yet? I think it's outstanding. Dave No habanero.I don't go for a real hot flavor. snuffy
