Most tile saw users I know work from behind the saw,and pull the stones toward the blade, stay dry like that!

As a kid,I got on our tractor, and pulled a slide we used to roll cows on that were down, and drove by the creeks on our place. It was all I could do to roll the large pet wood chunks up the creek banks onto the slide. The large gray piece is the largest I found, and a favorite. Over 55 years ago brought it home. snuffy

Rhodesian Ridgebacks and birds. Occasional nervous squirrel and chipmunk. The dogs just don't share the yard. I guess all Ridgebacks the same? Buddy will chase anything in the yard with intent to catch and kill. Rabbits, rats, squirrels, and cats have been his targets. He loves to follow the baby calves in the pasture, not to harm them, but for what they produce! snuffy

I saw an interesting television show the other day. The Cadillac Ranch in Texas with the cars buried on end.Years and years of tourists spray painting the cars has created a layer of phenomenal colors.A local man peels of layers and makes jewelry out of it. More amazing to me than fordite! Free too! Sorry if I hijacked your thread.

Got a big pile of wood windows that were removed from wood. The windows are telling since you see the inside and the skin on a small chip. To be saved for reference for next trip and photographed for future reference. Actually saved all windows in moss/plume, jasper and wood. The wood is the trickiest though. So it will be scrutinized. Put my three Florida properties on the market. Hoping to sell them and move camp to Zapata Texas. Should be way cheaper with lower taxes. Zapata very depressed due to foreign oil purchases. Lots of vacant property. Liberal building codes, perfect. Put a rock saw and a boat there. Burn mesquite for heat. Buy bottled water, the water sucks there. One deer lease purchase on one of those mega ranches would provide a spot to rock hunt for a life time singlehandedly. Speaking of Zapata, wonder about carloscinco.Hasn't logged in since February. snuffy

I find all wood attractive. Interesting how some preserve the original structure and others only the outside cast. Another ho-hum day from 225 Ma . . . Another nearer fossil creating time period was 65 Ma when the asteroid hit Yucatan. That sent an estimated 500 ft high wave racing across Texas to at least as far as middle Colorado before washing back down. It carried house sized boulders into mid Texas. The palm wood seems to be younger" I live on top of the Catahoula formation. In my location palm is scarce, but other wood is everywhere,in copius amounts. snuffy

I've made many skeptics believers over the years. I would go to their houses where I had never been and find their water and other lines for them.I only use the two wire rods.Still do occasionally when I need to find water lines! First saw it done when I was a kid. It was on a local tv show.
It does work folks!!

Love my southern teams. For the sake of this forum that has many western folks. My beloved Californians are going to get a taste of Alabama today. Sister lives in Oregon, me razzes her about the south teams giving her Ducks a hard time. Suggesting they change their name from Ducks to a legitimate/appropriate football team's name. People ofTexas and snuffy very dedicated football folks. My Saturday routine is to start watching the 11am games and all throughout the day, usually ending my viewing around halftime of the last west coast game, when I doze off, catching the final score when I get up Sunday morning! I don't venture into town on gameday, over 100,000 fans. Millions of bucks pour in! snuffy
