toiv0 Billy, that is a nice amethyst core on the LSA. It polished really well. Did you know it had an amethyst core before you started? I don’t have a lot of luck with quartzy Lakers. That one looks cool. I seen the faint amethyst in the quartz. I just put in on the wheels and it turned out fine. I find most of them polish ok. Some lots of pits but ok polish. |

Wonderful pendant design! Your twisted "rope" attached to the big ring really gives that pretty agate 'visual weight'. I never even think about balance and never even knew the term visual weight. I just put a stone in a bezel and walllla it's something. |

hummingbirdstones , I made mandrels to make like jumprings. Made them out of wood. Going to redo them in aluminum as I made the tang too short and the drill isn't gripping them good and they pop out. I cut them off the roll clean up the edges and set them up 30 at a time to solder. No matter how careful you are you can't get them clean enough. So then I clean up the joints and tumble them. Full day to make 100.

Yep I have a press, dies come from Potter usa or black magic silversmith. Careful you don't press the brass. Everything is so expensive to buy so try to make things to buy the next piece ... No profit only toys. Just made a different pair since posting will share Those dies are blasted expensive, too! No wonder you made 100 of the simple rings.  Hard to keep them in stock this makes 160 to stock up and the season is just coming up. |

Beautiful pendant, toiv0 ! Wish I could help you on the ID, but I don't see any clues in that stone. It sure is pretty, though. I like the very subtle colors and fortification of it.
Those earring are very cool! Do you have a press or something to make those? I am envious of all the toys you have to play with. That's a beautiful stone with the crystals inside. Great job face polishing that, Billy! What I have been doing on the 3000 wheel since I don't have a canvas pad is putting cerium paste on the wheel and stone and it seems to be bringing the shine to a nicer polish. |

Little does she know yet it will be in her mailbox today. I guess she might be sending it back for a ring. |

Very nice. Curious on the background? Where did you get it, etc? Excellent work. My son works in Minneapolis and during his breaks he hits what he calls the bull pens that are filled with 1 1/2 river rock. He usually has has 20 or thirty when he comes up north. I was looking yesterday morning for a reddish agate to face polish for a friend and there it was. |
