, but the TV ad time towards fire pits will be quite valuable. Better be ready. I suppose you'll put an asterisk on the next sales chart you post ...
Always fun to follow your adventures, thx.

I don't have a map but I've had good luck in some places the Morrison Formation is exposed. I'm aware of coprolite deposits occurring in a broad band of area starting near Green River trending southward to Moab and Hanksville, continuing South to Lake Powell, then sweeping westward to Bryce Canyon. A vast area. So, like the SE quadrant of Utah, That much I might be able to keep filed away

Either of you have a map for the distribution of Coprolites to superimpose on the above? As in generally where they are known to be found?

looks like they have their printer dialed in...
There are heaps of smaller organizer trays, tools, containers on thingiverse e.g. www.thingiverse.com/thing:2008502 if you still need an excuse for having a 3D printer around. Or one could do a Highland Park, copy their design and sell it for half price....

Well, that went quicker than I thought. Thanks to everyone for playing, Hope you got to closely look at some bits and pcs from the Hampton Butte area. Known best for its green petrified wood, but there usually seems to be a wide variety of agate & asper.
Harder than one thinks to come up with a not too long, not too short contest, drop enough hints not to bore everyone but give everyone a chance... Hopefully it'll inspire the next go round... I think I got it. R,A,J,S,E,P yeah, someone figured it out... victor1941 So you can both pm me your address, let me know if you'd rather just tumbler sized, or I can throw in a few larger 'cuttable' sized pcs.

Let's see if I can do this wo making mistakes this morning, harder than I thought... I'd encourage folks to guess, it's not as hard as it looks, getting to be plenty of clues.
M, Z, S, Y, P, R... And thanks for doing this,contests rock! 😁
Halfway there, 3 of the 6
My guess is Q U A R T Z ! 2 of the six are there but quartz is really LARRY , that would also score two of the six
Obviously, my tastes are different than yours, lol. But you have the benefit of being able to see these rocks in the flesh, indeed, you had intimate contact with them when you collected them.
I'll go out on a limb here and say the one I got right was J?
ETA - That was a joke, I didn't even pick J, lol. This first time!
Nice way to sneak in some extra clues... Was wondering about that interesting guess last nite....
My guess is C H A V E R not sure why, but I’ll go with it. Another 3 out of 6...
I'm going with F, R, I, S, K, Y
Bonus points for spelling a word, but I'm afraid only two of the letters are correct.
Guess for today: R J S F P D Ahhh moving to the next level, 4 out of 6 correct...
Hmmm another 4 out of 6, maybe this won't take as long as I thought... my guess today is L U S T E R!
certainly an enviable tumbling characteristic... Half way there, 3 of 6.
Will give it another go... J, B, N, R, K, W Thanks for the game!
better than yesterday, but I only see 2 of the 6 choices there.
Hmmmm. How about R,Y,I,S,K...and F. Tthat would also be FRISKY, hmmm those must be eye catchers. (see above) in case your both thinking about feeding your cat, the maker of the cat food would score 3...
Sorry, I only see one correct choice here.
2 of the 6 are here
M H S hmmm there's a couple ways of interpreting that,
the obvious choice scores 1
substitution of the emoji letters representation would add another 1....
I see 2 of the 6

check to make sure the springs aren't broken (esp only one of the back two). Sounds like you've aligned the fan counterweights already...

One out of six, not bad J,B,R,Y,Q,T - closely followed by the Tic Tacs...mmmm...Tic Tacs! Nice contest by the way! Thanks for doing this! Two out of 6, pretty good Another 2 out of 6... and yet another two out of 6... My mistake, you actually got three.
I like your thinking, but 2 out of six must be the random chance or something about the eye catchers?

Well, I've won a couple contests, unfortunately not RWA3006 's pile of pooh last go round. Anyway, time to give back. I was out at Hampton Butte a short bit ago, always seems to produce a wide variety of materials. So I'll fill a small flat rate box/envelope with some/all of the tumbler material pictured from that trip (and some others I'm sure. )
No, I didn't plan far enough ahead to guess the odometer game, so it's not that easy. Here's the picture of the material with 26 of the rocks labeled. I left it large, so you should be able to save it, or blow it up on your screen if you wish, right click, view. (Thanks Tommy ) I picked out 6 that caught my eye and took another picture. Your job is to guess which 6. I was thinking order would be important ala the old mastermind game, but think that might take too long. - One guess per day please. I'll check in and respond with the number correct once a day or two; morning, noon or night. only 26! / (20! * 6!) possibilities if I remember my stats right hmm that's 230230 combinations, interesting.... Check back to this post in case I have to add/clarify anything. Cheers, Rick

I've built two cylindrical vib tumblers, one about 1/2 gallon and the other 2 1/2 gallon capacity, both were running in the 90db range at ten feet. Not saying it can't be done quietly, but I'd bet toward not. Hello. Could I get a look at how you built those? I could always look at possible modifications for noise limiting. Thanks. Search is your friend.... large old thread

In my opinion, the Jenkins/Royal is one of the best slab saws out there. It has a very compact design for an 18" saw, the vise is extremely easy to use, they are easy to repair if necessary, it is a work horse. I have owned and flipped a lot of slab saws, my Jenkins and my Great Western are two I will not part with. Tim Looks similar design to the smaller R&M saws - I also was intrigued by that design, compact and simple as you say, seemed to work very well. My biggest concern was on those was about the metal on metal for the vise carriage - what does one do when that wears and things start getting sloppy? Simply looks like (accurate) sized holes bored in cold steel.
Also the indicator said the blade/carriage on mine was pretty well aligned, but I don't remember if there was much adjustment possibility for the arbor or the carriage?

Calico Lace (Chihuahua). Old variety, don't think it has been dug in the last decade or so. Nailed it! Gorgeous material especially when trending purple as this piece is. Knew I shoulda bought more.... was at the buck a lb table a few years back. Really is pretty stuff. What looks like voids in the close up is really clear agate...

These have been on the bench for a while, thinking I could figure out what they were, but my googling skills must be declining.... Someone must know...
Thanks!
flat light today, they're definitely a bit more pink/lavender than my screen is showing... 4-5" chunks.
looks like Google photos doesn't want to play nice anymore.. here's a pic with some sunlight for reference to others...

Looks like an original configuration, but I'm puzzled by the expando drum spraying water at the back of the switches, and blocking access. the Tray also doesn't look to cover that drum? Maybe the switches were supposed to be elsewhere and that part of the tray slid over the right (looks) like an indent for the belt for a motor? ALso doesn't look like a belt will slide off that drum easily to the left.
'two motors' and two switches and it doesn't look like the shaft drives the trim saw. I take that as a plus, imagine they're separate units. Usually saws/drums are better at different speeds and you're never using both at the same time. Wheel condition, bearings, etc, not a steal, but good if it's all working ok...

Today's Satellite imagery. Winds hardly EVER blow east to west around here. Down slope river canyons exploded in many places. Too many, too big to fight...
all wildfire smoke, no clouds. Ignition points on the right, smoke & Fires traveling towards the west.

this estate had a bit of faceting material, some stuff that seemed valuable, some not...
I was going to dump this in the drive, but... It was in a tumbler barrel, has a distinctive dull green hue, wondering if anyone knows what it is, or if it's some special abrasive and not just dirt! It's fairly coarse, there's a thread in the pic...

Picked up one of these too, thought the front bearing was gone , it had heaps of play but the bearing had actually slid forward on the arbor shaft and was no longer seated in the housing. I've searched a fair bit, but don't see any posts with real info on changing the bearings for these saws (presumably the latter star diamond, diamond pacific versions as well. So putting this here for the next finder.
Sort of an odd design, not the best imho. The housing does not have 'shoulders' to seat the bearings against. Rather there are three snap rings to position the bearings and flange on the shaft....
you can see that while the bearing on the drive side is flush with the housing, the one on the blade side is recessed a fair bit. I'm waiting on new bearings to reinstall, but think that the two snap rings are inside of the two bearings. Assembly then needs to have the flange also removed so that you can make sure the bearing on that side is fully seated, and hasn't slid up the shaft instead -( I think that's what happened to the saw I have.) Then press the saw flange on last after both bearings are fully seated.
I like the ease or removal for the auto feed, interesting looking little saw.
