Date: August 11. 2023 Weather: Some fog in the morning. Bright, sunny blue sky with a few white clouds sprinkled in between, 89°F Destination: River Isar, Region "Oberes Isartal" Woke up, felt the need to get out into nature and recalled a really beautiful place that I haven't visited in way too long... so I went. And - surprise - I was not disappointed. The nature in this region feels really diverse. After a steep decline you step right into all this green "dense" vegetation. Everything feels really lively. Progressing further towards river Isar, the vegetation quickly gets sparser and sparser till it's this wide open stretch of rocks, water the occasional shrub in between. This feels more like a "rock steppe". Simple reason: The vegetation zones are stretched alongside the flow of the river. So as I am walking directly towards (and not alongside) the river, I cut through all those zones really quickly. I love to stray around there for hours, take a bath in the ice cold, clear as glass water and pick up some colorful, little stones. Peace for the mind? Well you can see how "overcrowded" it is. Haven't set foot there since October 7. 2022, and I could not have picked a better day for the re-re-revisit. For those who are interested in comparing how the region changed over the last year: PT1 / PT2 / PT3Enjoy! Gabriel

I find it interesting to go back to the same place seasonally. It's always different, & fun to observe the changes. Nature at it's finest ! Funny a year later and that purple blue wild flower is blooming again.
Thanks for taking us along.

I love to see the changes, be it seasonal or simply over time... nature never stands still and to see all the little differences are a big part of the fun.
Yes! Well spotted!
