Hi, Dan! ;D
Last I heard she was considering banning tent camping entirely...including the sites at The Ranch House. Not to worry. There's always the option to camp at Stillwell and collect at Woodward...
Oh, and Woodward is DEFINITELY NOT picked clean.

Heard a rumor that Jan plans to disallow tent camping at The Ranch. Only 11 are allowed in the combined cabins and the cabins must be booked in advance. Times they are a changin'... Two real nice agates we collected this year. Classic Red Plume Flower Garden Woodward Ranch remains one of my favorite places on Earth. :)S

Oh, George - I wish you could make it this year. I'll miss your binoculars... S Looks like it's going to be a really SMALL group this year...D and D are in FLA and probably won't make it. No Ed...now no Ronda...no Gil? Last I heard Robert was going...that means it'll probably just be Dan and a friend, Robert, myself and Dave. Llana? Jeri - we'll be pleased to meet you. If anyone else cares to join us, especially you Texans - MEL? We'll be there under the stars amidst the agate. Jan's making briskit. S

Looks like we won't be going - due to iffy weather and reports that the road into the collecting area is washed out...another storm is moving in to NM on Wed.

My Workforce saw finally died...seized up after being left outside all Winter (oops). Well, it was 5-6 years old. Apparently Home Depot doesn't sell this saw anymore...so I'm in the market for a really good 7" or, possibly, 10 " tile saw that will kick ass at slabbing and trimming! Can't spend more than $1,000... any suggestions?
