This is the smallest stone I wrapped so far, It came out O.K., but I think some smaller wire would have worked alot better. I don't know what the stone is ( any ideas? ), but it is a piece off of a rock I found locally. It actually looks like an orange slice, it is much brighter than the pic shows. I want to try some earrings with the small stones, but that will have to wait..... thanks for looking, Chris

Here is 2005... I don't know what happened to 2006 , I'll have to look around... First a group shot... A tiny pumpkin.... bad pic, sorry Another tiny pimpkin... once again... I am a Cincinati Bengals fan ( I don't know why I still admit that )... bad pic again, sorry This was a pattern from a book.... a nice simple one.... Also, a pattern from a book.... it is a tiny pumpkin inside a larger pumpkin, makes a neat effect.... And another pattern from a book ( boy I was lazy that year ) I changed it a little though, added the moon, and fence, also changed the trees a little... another pumpkin in a pumpkin....

A friend of mine asked if I could make him an anrchy symbol ( he tagged, grafiti, years ago, it was kind of his signature ) so I told him to pick a rock, and 45 minutes ( and one bloody knuckle, the wire bit me!!! ) this is what I came up with.... and if anyone was wondering, these are the stupid little tools I have been using.... but hey, these will do for now ( they have so far ) .... Enjoy, Chris

Lori, if I may, these are absolutely amazing ( I have ALOT to learn )!!!! I love the stones ( wow Jamie! ), and the way you works with them... the wire on the second one is just like an extention of the stone, like it's just supposed to be that way.... and the , uh... stacked wire on the sides of the last two.... incredible, I'm going to try that... and the last one, the wire just dissapears into the stone on the front, I had to take a second glance just to see how it was held in..... BTW, the second one, the primavera, is my favorite!!!! Chris p.s. boy, I have to me some square wire!!!!

Yea Fran, I know, silver sounds like my next step, along with some new tools ( I gotta get a pic of these, they are so small )!!!! My 10 yd spool I bought ( for $1.99 by the way ) is almost out ( I think I can do 2 more ) so next will be silver, I promise..... and Adrian, YES... " ancient chamanic jewel ", that is exactly the look I was going for !!!!! ;D ? o.k., I don't know what that is ( Google, here I come ), I do think it looks awfully Aztec though!!!! Chris

look great Julie ;D!!! Amber took the words right out of my mouth...all that fussin' for nuttin' !!!! I've found that you just have to work with the wire.... you can't force it too much ( hell, who am I to give tips, I've only done a few myself ). I thought the loop at the top looked small.... the top of my petrified wood wrap was small too, but I gave it to my step brother who used a low E bass string to make a neclace ( he plays bass in a band ), looks too cool, I'll have to get a pic.... anyway..... great job.... Randy has converted another one Chris

I think the top dosen't match the bottom very well, but both designs do have potential,I'm trying to get a " pinstripe " type look.I really used the rock for the design..... and I liked how Randy showed the scale of his wraps, so....

Wow, what a difference a week makes !!!!! I left these stone in polish for a week longer than the last batch, and it made a huge difference!!!! Here is the before pic.... wooohoooo smashed rocks!!!! After a week of coarse and two weeks in fine grind ( this is still the grit and stones that came with the 'toy' tumbler ) And then after 2 weeks in polish ( instead of one, as the instructions suggested ).... and these were just some river rocks I threw in to take up space 7 days into the polish stage. I wasn't worried about messing up the batch, I didn't think they would come out well anyway ....so after only 7 days in only the polish they came out like this.... amazing!!!! the last three are definately getting wrapped..... the rest are too small, they do look good in a jar though!!!!!

Thank you everyone.... yep, the top is the front but on a black background you can see the swirls right through the stone, so it still looks cool. I'm glad you all liked this one... It was difficult to keep all the wires to lay right but I got it. And I still like how the bail came out... llana, I'm glad you noticed that, it locked everything in place really well. Chris

Well, here's a few more.... these were from 2007... Yes, I am a Bengals fan ( come on... take your stabs now, I'm used to it ) I like movie themes... This was just supposed to be some scary guy, it turned into Colosus from marvel comics... it also projected an image out of the back, supposed to be a person in a window screaming... This was a pattern from a book.... (they are always quick and easy ).... This one is probably my all time favorite.... Who is it? Just so you can get some idea how small it is... And here we are with our creations... after a long night of carving..
