This first one is a Rootbeer onyx found locally up by flagstaff. Another long dirt road. This one is another Rootbeer onyx found at the same location, but it is pinkish. Maybe it is pink lemonade? This one is a local Sedona calcite. I love this stuff, looks like butterscotch candy. Did I make you hungry? Amy

Both of them are beautiful! May I ask where did you get those acrylic stands?

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It is wearable, just every part of it is crooked. No sharp edges and the stone doesn't fall out. I'll try it again. I don't make too many smaller cabs. I guess I will have to.
Drocknut, You're right, you did not make me. You just pestered. So now you have proof. I did make a ring. LOL
Chromenut, I wrapped it in Brass. I wasn't going to waste silver or gold on my first attempt at a ring. So I had a choice of Brass or Copper. I chose Brass. The lesser of the 2 evils for this stone.

The colors in this stone don't come out well on photos. It is black with red jasper and hematite. Sorry for the reflections of the house on the stone. I wrapped it in 21g sq copper with 28g red and black colored round wire for the weaves. 21g half round copper for the wraps. The whole thing only took about 4 hours to do. I decided not to weave the bail as that would make all the copper at the bottom of the stone. the back the sideviews What do you think? A bit much or does it work? Amy
