Beautiful! And you got a nice shine too. My experience with Sodalite is it is hard to polish. Hard to get those tiny scratches out. Good job.

That first one is very elegant looking. The second one is nicly done, it just looks not so fancy. It isn't such an elegant stone either so it is better this way. I love what you did with the side swirls. I know what you mean about it looking unbalanced. Nothing wrong with it. Some people like it better more plain. You are probably used to it with more or larger swirls. Perhaps one or 2 swirls at the top would balance it out.
I also like the diamond shape in the bail.

Your wraps look great considering you are using beading wire. Once you get good wire, it will be soooo much easier to work with. Does your camera have a macro setting? That's what you need to use to get photos of wraps.

This one I wrapped yesterday. I also wrapped my first Mcintosh ring, but  it is too bad to show anyone. I'm gonna lock it away in a closet and never look at it again. LOL crazy lace wrapped in 22gauge Argentium with 22g half round argentium. and the back Thanks for lookin. Amy

Thanks everyone. I knew someone was going to say something about it being too complicated. That's why I mentioned it right at the beginning. It's really hard to ruffle my feathers. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and style. I would ot want anyone to be anything but honest. A critique does no one any good if it is not honest.
I did use 26gauge round copper for this weave. It is much easier than using the 24 which is what I did the first weave with. I used 21G square for the rest of it.
I tried to buy some 26G argentium from rio grande yesterday but they were backordered. Oh, well, gotta wait.

I don't get sore fingers from wrapping. But it does keep my nails short.

Absolutely beautiful. Did you reconstitute that? Or did you buy it somewhere? I love those colors together. Perfection.

I used copper as this was a practicie piece. I am not comfortable using silver yet for weaving just in case it does not work out right.

Thank you everyone for your help. With Marie's tips and Chris's tut I think I finally made a good one. I found it easier to weave the bail with Chris's style and Maries idea for the double bail wires. and the back What do you think? I know, I know, It is a bit too fancy for some of you, but the stone is pretty plain. I like to keep most of mine fairly simple, but sometimes I like to get fancy. Thanks for lookin, Amy

Thank you everyone. I coiled this by hand. Now I see that there is a coiler on the market made to do this. Has anyone ever tried it? It is actually easy to do it by hand, but the coiler might make the coils more uniform.

I used Chris's tutorial for this one. I just happened to have a heart cab waiting for inspiration. As you can see I had a bit of trouble shaping the back, (that's supposed to be a heart shape.) and my wraps on the heart tops are kinda bent up. I had a hard time shaping it to the v in the middle of the heart. It actually looks pretty good in person, the photo magnifies the mistakes. I had no trouble with the bail. The part that was the tutorial. Anyway, here it is. Thanks Chris. Amy

Here is one I added color wire to the coils. It is just an end piece of OJ. Not a great cab, I just needed something to practice on. The cab is wrapped in 20 gauge copper round with half round bindings. the green is 24G round coiled onto the 20G cage wire. It surprisingly did not take very long to do. the front the side the back what do you think? Amy

so you used polish on an 800 wheel with no water? interesting. was it hard wheel or a soft wheel? How did the wheel hold up without water?

That is a beautiful necklace. Looks like royalty should be wearing it. Or someone on a red carpet. I would say $200.00 is fair. Maybe 175.00 if you wanted to make a quicker sale. Depends on how long it took you to make the whole thing.
