You might be able to get away with it if you tumble in a 1.5 pounder with a lot of plastic beads. The small size barrel may not be too aggressive. And only with it's own kind. But as the others have stated, chrysocolla is best worked by hand. Look's like Snuffy got some out of the gate, so give it a try. The real nice stuff should not be tumbled. -Chris.

Well, that was quite an intro. Welcome to the site. It looks like you've done some serious groundwork and were able to get out and put that knowledge to work. Very impressive. Come out West when you get a chance. There are places in the Calif. desert where agates are just laying around waiting for homes! And I'm with the rest of the board here...let's see what's in those bad boys! Again, welcome. -Chris.

Pretty cool Donnie. I've looked at a lot of your work on all the other pages, and then to see them in video format is kind of like seeing some friends on TV or in the movies! I like your style. Well done. -Chris.

Welcome! When adding small bulk rocks, the rounder the better. Assorted sizes from 3/16ths to 1/2 inch should do well. And as johnjsgems says, some of them may come out real nice! Use them over & over until they flatten out or disappear. Once you get to the fine and polish stages, you should use plastic beads. They work great and wont scratch or crack your good stones. With experience (practice), you'll learn what works best with certain stones. Agates are usually quite cooperative. Have fun! -Chris.
