Not the least bit inflicted and I do see a parallel other than the rich part, yet, but I am not striving for it or waiting impatiently for it. I would give my last dollar to a child that is hungry and I am way more than angry about the way children suffer at the hands of man. At times I loose sleep over it because I can not do anything about it other than try to make people aware of the magnitude of the suffering. ie. some of the statements I made before I left. None of that was aimed at you by the way, it just so happened that we were discussing some things when the photo of the young girl hit me in the eye and my brain erupted. I have not and will not apologize to anyone that was offended by anything I said because as bad as it may have sounded I was stating facts that the privileged do not want to hear because it is a negative and not a positive that might interfere with their happiness. I am not going to continue that rampage on here because if I did not hit some people in the heart it is not going to happen. Ya think Solomon would approve? 800 concubines, was he a good guy or a bad guy? Keeping 800 female slaves doesn't sound good to me unless he treated them as equals. Did he have eunuchs to keep them in line and not stray? Half of 8 would be too many, can you imagine? But he was living a bit of a different lifestyle than we do. I would give them a test and choose the one that could hold a good conversation and had a nice butt. Jim The story of Solomon is a curious one. Yes, he was a full bore heathen and destroyed many peoples lives no doubt. Destroyed them in a fashion that would boil wampidy's blood and any one else with a loving heart. i.e., young gals lives for instance. What was peculiar about him was the choice he was given, infinite riches or infinite wisdom....he chose wisdom which was a serious conundrum. Well, all his riches are passed on, mistresses got old and wrinkled and passed on, and everybody may have forgot about him except, he left something behind. He left his treasured books of wisdom, Proverbs and most likely Ecclesiastes. Books written that are comprehendible from IQ 40 to IQ 200. Had humanity [tried] applying the wisdom of those two books you would likely have very few concerns with the human population. This man was said to be the wisest. Bible story ? Yay or nay, think why you will, but Proverbs was written by him to help the average moe live a trouble free life. Regardless of your religious or non-religous beliefs. It's just a list of f'in guidelines. Steer away from any single one of them and there will be negative consequences. Here is a man of great riches and power, anything he wanted he got. Yet his wisdom is humble and boring in a sort; suggesting a humble and clean life to attain happiness. And he is very clear about maintaining mistresses is a one way trip to hell(for instance). Supposing he did plenty of 14 year old girls, Russian beauties, exotics that we would give our left nut for, etc. Being a man of great experience in this arena yet he gives strong advise not to engage in such. Will take you straight to a life that is hell on earth. I know you are a lady's man Jim. Maybe they panned out for you, maybe not. Can't answer that one for you. Seems to be a source of problems for many a good man though. Sex being the highest level of 'feel good' on earth....shit yea were gonna give it a go. Solomon said to enjoy the loins of your wife and no other's loins LOL. Probably a good idea. How many loins has Jim had ? LOL. Well, odd advise for a man that has been around the block like this guy has. Interesting conclusive summation on his part. Thank you for the story James. Very interesting. I am a non believer but some of the stories are true works of art. Strange that he would live one way and advise to live 180 degrees out. Do you have a feeling that he was a republican? hahaha As far as numbers go, I have no idea. But I can honestly say that I have never hit a woman or treated a woman badly. ALWAYS mutual. I live by the rule "the more you give, the more you get". Still friends with ex wives and two of them participated in the frolicking. There are drawbacks to a lifestyle that most men only dream about and there is a price to pay. I have found that a large percent of the dreamers do not have the mind set to step over the line when it gets down to the wire. I am referring to men and their spouses. The old saying "be careful what you wish for" comes to mind. I am trying to choose my words carefully because a lot of times things do not come out the way I intended. I mentioned the eloquence problem before. Probably time to get off this subject anyway before, well, you know. Have you watched the movie Zeitgeist:the movie? You may find it enlightening in more ways than one. It would be great to have at least one person watch it so I can discuss it with them and get their opinion. You seem to be quite open minded and easy to discuss things with. Jim

well, hey there Jim. They were mining that stuff a lot closer than Lusk. Like, East of Yellowtail and in the South end of the Pryors. Can't see your pics because PBucket is jacked up again. Russ Missed your post Russ. When I did the search all I got was Lusk so didn't have a clue about the others. That makes my ID much more possible so I really do need to get to the college and find out for sure. I think they will be finishing up this semester soon. Jim

I trust your life experience far exceeds mine in time/travel and experience Jim. For some reason, you remind me of Solomon. Now I am not inflicting anything on you, but I did run across a peculiar statement that Solomon said. Solomon sought wisdom over riches, even though he did become very rich. Add 800 concubines(lucky SOB). And his conclusive retort always fascinated me: 17And I set my mind to know wisdom and to know madness and folly; I realized that this also is striving after wind. 18Because in much wisdom there is much grief, and increasing knowledge results in increasing pain. Seems as if the more a man sees, the more it distresses him. I certainly have no answers for this phenom. As if the more one learn's about people the more it can enrage. Not the least bit inflicted and I do see a parallel other than the rich part, yet, but I am not striving for it or waiting impatiently for it. I would give my last dollar to a child that is hungry and I am way more than angry about the way children suffer at the hands of man. Awesome photos were not there the first time I was here. Out here in the west people have one leg shorter so they can stand on slopes like that. Well, that is what I heard, I do not live quite far enough west for that.
Very few native fish in a lot of areas out here. Lakes and rivers are stocked regularly but if you hit the right place at the right time there are some whoppers. A few years ago the river that I used to fish on had a 100 year flood and straightened the river like a bow string and in turn changed the fish drastically. Lots of pike and walleye running up river and trying to eat everything in sight. I hear that the bass and cats are still fairly plentiful though. Not nearly as pretty as your area though and hard to find a tree to stand under. Jim

Big Creek is pasted all over the place and when I first looked at satellite image the creek looked like a ridge. Brain not working so good at maps today. haha I would have went with you but it would have taken twice as long if you didn't abandon me. Next to a wilderness area must be pretty nice.
I have driven from Cherry Point NC due west on what was paved back roads and it was gorgeous but I didn't get to see much because the only time I was going straight was when I was crossing over from left to right or back the other way. Crookedest road I have ever been on but one of the prettiest too. Brought back some great memories. Thanks for taking me back. Jim

110% right on target. This has been going through my mind lately and I wanted to write it down but eloquence fails me so I figured it would come out all wrong. As a whole white American males are the most privileged animal on the planet and for many "enough is never enough". Others want the same rights and privileges, hellll no, it will take away from what we have. God damn freeloaders popping out a truck load of kids that put a drain on us so we will teach them a lesson by starving their children instead of finding solutions like Planned Parenthood who has PREVENTED millions of pregnancies but there is no way to count PREVENTED. Sharia law is the very top of the list of ways to humiliate and demonize females but where do you draw the line? White males would not let women vote until the women fought for it. White males would not let a black woman sit at a counter. White males taking away many women's health care and pregnancy prevention. White males preventing women from executive positions then if they manage to claw their way up, women are kept below the line by paying them less. And on and on and on. Where do you draw the line? Dems blaming every bad thing that has ever happened on the Reps and the Reps doing the same thing. Mom, Jimmy hit me. Mom, Bob hit me first. The division is getting wider when we should both be on the same side. The greedy and uber rich are destroying us by dividing us, not the poor, not the homeless, not the Mexicans, not the Muslims, not the blacks, etc. Some of us are destroying us and their plan is to control the entire planet. One little example, there used to be an inheritance tax. Did the poor get it dropped? Now the spoiled little rich kid is doubly assured that he will never have to work a day in his life, will take over his daddy's role and not give a s..t about one other person on the planet. There is a documentary I watched that spells it all out and provides proof (and yes I know they can be slanted one way) and I will try to find it and post it even though I have a feeling few will watch it. Jim Unfortunate result Jim. Things started out well. I think that is believable. Been occasional bumps along the way. Now it is mass turmoil. Not so sure it is reversible. Easy to start good and get bad, hard to go back the other way. I would think you have witnessed a great change over your lifetime. Younger folks are born into present day turmoil as if it is typical. I fear that I have lived through the best of times. Good for me but probably not so good for my descendents. I have spend a lot of time in a lot of different areas of the United States and a fair amount of time in Communist and third world countries. I am not an expert but I have learned a lot about many different peoples that when boiled down are mostly the same except for the people in power. Average people just want to live their life in peace and be able to feed their children. The average Chinese people want the same things we have and do not hate us. One lady told me that a lot of the Chinese people look up to us like a big brother but at the same time they do not know much about us. Their news is as slanted and slippery as ours is. I agree that our younger folks are born into present day turmoil as if it is typical. No different than young people in other places seeing dead people in the street as typical. They get numb to the bad that is going on around them. I just watched this documentary the second time and would recommend it to anyone that wants to know what is happening in the world, where it started and how we got to where we are now. It has a couple of places where there is just crazy random kaleidoscope visuals with strange music that makes no sense but they do not last too long. If the first or second parts are not to your liking skip to part three at 1:12 and watch that. Very enlightening. Jim It is called Zeitgeist:themovie. I could not get it to link but copy and paste works. It is fairly long at one hour and 45 minutes but IMHO is very well worth it. h ttps://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/dc/Zeitgeist-themov.jpg&imgrefurl=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zeitgeist_(film_series)&h=364&w=273&tbnid=KmIZEvm7rZFmWM:&tbnh=160&tbnw=119&docid=9EAhuvit_rDS5M&itg=1&usg=__vlFRncLpAlSKAqS-uxbmvwgMhDs=

yeah, if the elected representatives are learned, thoughtful, selfless people the Representative Republic gives Democracy the best chance to maintain the balance the founders envisioned. Hence, the problem... Founder's intentions as taught to us in history class. Remember ? Memories of the teacher instilling a respect for 'The Founding Fathers'. Somewhat programming us that they were well meaning and toiled to design a great system of government. They were well intentioned. They just got finished fighting for their independence in their own backyards. Consider mindset. They had been in a bloody war for a great cause. Men of conviction and concern for this country. Experienced great pain and suffering for this country. Almost 250 years later and things have sure changed; life good, and a thanks to those men's great efforts. Good times, leaving ample opportunity for other motivations. Slowly turning into pleasures, monetary gains, power mongers operating at the expense of others. We are a spoiled lot. Visit other countries and prepare for realities. 110% right on target. Great stuff, great work and it sounds like a great day.
I actually finished up some projects today also but through my digging I think I started more than I finished. Many photos but I ate a big bowl of chile and got too lazy to start new threads. Maybe tomorrow if it is still to cold to get out from under the bridge.
Have you quit wrapping? Jim

I LOVE it and it's super cool that it represents so many people here. The base is also a work of art. You done good. Thanks to you and everyone else that has liked or commented. Do you think the base is too much and takes away from the butterfly? I have another piece of cedar that would work well and will not outshine the butterfly. Like you said the cedar is a work of art (nature, not me) by itself and I have been thinking about using the present base for a different purpose where it is the focal point. The butterfly kind of covers it up. Jim

WooHoo I have over 50 posts so I can now buy from John johnjsgems and sell to everyone else. Anyone want to buy a toaster? Jim You, sir, are an incurable and incorrigible troll... but, at least, you are one with 53 posts now. Sell away! My toaster sucks, btw. Well thank you my dear. When I left with my panties in a bunch I had 5016 posts. I have thought about putting that in my avatar but it doesn't matter because most of the old timers on here will vouch for me. You should have added trustworthy and bad comic as adjectives to troll but I believe I do put a smile on a few faces once in a while. If I come off as a smart ass once in a while often my intention is to be humorus. I spent quite a bit of time talking with John and his wife (captive audience because they were in their booth) and they are both a hoot. John is one of the most honest people I have ever met and he is very generous to the people on RTH. Most of the things I buy (not that much) that are rock related I buy from John and Tony because they have both been very good to me and I know they will fix any problems that arise. Jim

I think an ex girlfriend lives in Dublin OH now. May have to fly out and see her if she is going to be around. Kiss two stones with one bird but she travels a lot and is pretty hard to pin down. My bad, easy to pin down but hard to catch, me being old and all. Jim

There are seven types of stone: angelite (blue) from John at @jsgems, translucent jade (I do not know what in the hell is going on here but I can not get rid of the junk behind mel's name (2 different greens) one from Mel from Yuma & Spokane and the other from Tommy , wampidy sunrise (pink local), speckled (pink local), agate (red local) and a couple of little pieces from 1dave , lepidolite (speckled pink and grey) from jean rockpickerforever . There are 14 separate individual stones on each wing making it 28 polished face stones all together. Thank you all for your generosity. The base is Wyoming cedar (self slabbed and the branched piece the butterfly sits on is Wyoming sage brush with countless hours of cleaning, scraping and sanding. The only thing left to do is add lights to the underside of the butterfly and possibly a lesser piece of cedar for the base since this one turned out to be a piece of art by itself. I have not decided whether or not to keep the brass shiny or tarnish it with something. A local business owner bought a bunch of brass sculptures dirt cheap at a going out of business sale and is selling it very close to dirt cheap. I picked up the butterfly, many ducks and a couple of shore birds for around $30. Nuf jabbering. Jim I am going to add some kind of lights underneath the butterfly and maybe do some kind of tarnish on the brass or just let it tarnish over time. The butterfly is 14 inches across so it is pretty big. Hope y'all enjoy my work. Jim This base looks pretty good but it doesn't take away from the butterfly like the other one did. Watcha think?

Haha yeah that's what I meant - rolled up the back of my own leg a few times. Not life threatening but it would scare the pants off of you in a hurry. You do that going fast enough and its very dangerous. Makes me cringe and a shoot of pain up my spine just looking at those. Ughhh... Quads roll too. fossilman 's story about his son is chilling. The weight of those things would be tough to lift for even the strongest men. My son has one and lets his son 12 ride it at the gravel pit but strict orders to not go out of second gear and has only had to take it away once. It is funny because every time the boy circles around and comes close to his dad he hollers "I love you dad". jamesp Your motorcycle is the way to go, all you have to do is put a reverse gear in it. It is easy to see how handy the three wheelers would be in your situation. Light enough to get unstuck from a tight place but heavy enough to drag around just about anything. I miss having that kind of room to move around in but I do not miss the work involved to take proper care of it. Lots of people from outside of Montana thought they wanted the same thing but abandoned it within a fairly short time. Large area of mini farms that are standing idle just waiting for someone with enough grit to take care of them. The few that stuck had enough money to hire help but even some of those left after 3 to 5 years because they were not sustainable. Not many people around that can come up with a hundred ways to make money like you do either. Strong back, strong artistic mind and a wife kicking your ass. Can it get any better than that? Not saying your wife kicks your ass but it looks like she comes up with some pretty good ideas herself. Artists should rule the world as long as I do not have to help do that. Jim

With those cabs do you really think anyone would notice the dirty nails without you pointing it out. Plus, they look good to me because unlike mine they are not all broken and filed crooked to try to save at least part of them.
I have found some similar breccia here but without the red. All beautiful stone and work. Jim

Tommy Getting weirder. Now I can see your avatar but not the photo. Maybe if I keep waiting it will pop up one of these days. hahaha Jim I have no idea Jim ... can you "right click" on the image and get the URL and go to it directly in your browser? The photo is on my own domain so I know there are no photo-host type problems. Is anyone else not seeing the image? Dumbfounded here. Mostly from all the lace, spots and everything in between but also because I clicked back to page one (where I had been several times before) and there standing in all their glory was the wildest bunch of cabs I have seen in one place. WOW I told you earlier that I could see your avatar so maybe if I waited they would show up. I WAS JOKING HAHAHA Never expected it to come true. Really happy it did happen though. You are a master. Oh no, @tela, I am a terrible researcher. I just post things straight from the net because it has to be true if it is posted by a dem or rep. haha
One thing that I am sure is true is that shortly after the lead in water crisis happened they tried to repeal the Clean Water Act. Probably figured it was going to start happening all over the country and would probably cut into their bribe money.
Has anyone besides me watched the Zeitgeistmovie? I just started getting into it on netflix and I know that things can be slanted pretty easily but they have some pretty compelling proof of what they are saying about the way things are and where we are headed. It is a series so there is a lot of time involved which is added to by spots of strange music and stranger visuals but most of the time it will really hold you in your seat. I think it can also be found at zeitgeist.com. I know that geist is ghost in another language because I had friends with the name Geist. Not a clue what zeit is.
They do a pretty damn good job of showing where christianity came from too. And the Fed, straight up how the big banks and wealthy control everything so elections are pretty much useless and just there to give the masses a reason to think they have some control. Jim
