Good working condition. $70 shipped USPS priority with tracking. PayPal only please. Will also consider trades for tumble material and/or mineral specimens.

Honestly, I don't do anything special or different. I just toss mine into the same batch as harder rocks and they tumble fine. Even get a nice shine.

The dark spots resemble dentrites more than biotite. However, it looks more granular, and not as homogeneous as I would expect a chalcedony to look.

Can you give us any backstory on the piece? Where did you get it - is it self-collected and from where? Nothing useful on the origin. Acquired as part of an estate collection.

They won't take a polish, but they're still nice looking stones when tumbled. I get plenty of compliments on how unique they look.

Taking a trip there soon. I'm new to the hobby, so I've never been rockhounding before. Anyone familiar with the area and can direct me to good spots where rockhounding is permissible?

got my box of goodies yesterday, thanks adam, postal gorillas strike again! mine came in one of those white post office totes, however i'm fairly certain all or most arrived. now I need to make good on my end, probably ship mine to you on Monday, thanks again adam. Sorry about that Mark. Lesson learned. Can't have too much tape, especially when overloading a flat rate box.

I just received my box from Adam (ubermenehune) and I'm very pleased. He sent exactly what he said he would. As MarineDad said, we PMed back and forth and customized boxes for each other. My only complaint is that I didn't get a tin of Altoids. They were clearly in the pictures. But I'd still recommend him as a reliable person to trade rocks with. Rob promptly sent me an awesome box and I can't wait to start working with the material. Excellent trader. I won't forget the Altoids tin next time.

Thanks to those who I'm currently trading with. Bloodstone and Montanas are gone. Only things left are some red jaspers and Brazilian agate nodules if anyone is interested.

I throw everthing in the tumbler, survival of the fittest!!! Mostly because I can't tell what everthing is.... I do the same thing. When I tumble stones of varying hardness, I just check on it more frequently and pull out the softer ones once they're adequately shaped.

Thanks for the welcomes. I'm open to any rock/mineral I can add to my collection, not just tumbling rough. That includes fossils, crystals or display specimens. PM me what you have and I'll let you know.

Seller is legit. I've purchased from their eBay store and the service and merchandise was good.

I have a Thumler's Model B and the instructions advise three days in pre-polish. I've seen similar guidance online, along with the standard 7 day recommendation. What exactly is the pre-polish stage and why are there such varied guidelines?

Welcome to the forum. I thought there was a new Apple kitchen timer out for a second. The iDing. Sorry I'm not very good at rock identification, so I can't answer your question. Thanks. No worries. Been lurking for a while and will post my first tumble results in a couple weeks.
