Just got the message that support from HP for my laptop has ended, so I'm probably not far behind you... I hope everything keeps working fine for you. Feel fortunate that mine was still under manufacturers warranty and covered by Geek Squad.

I have taken lots of photos lately. Finally able to post some. Taken behind work the other night with my phone. Just atter a thunderstorm went through. It was getting dark, so I had to steady phone on a dumpster. Next step is to remove the wires in the photo. AJ's last bike race of the year. 6 youngsters ready for the start. AJ on the trail. With his 2nd place medal. The first place finisher was 7 years old and had a multi-speed bike. Everyone else was younger and had single speed bikes. These beginner races are a lot of fun. Parents can help push their child up hills on the course and provide comfort when the child falls down. I say when, as there are lots of hills and curves there. Occasional collisions. The courses are usually parts of the same ones the various adult classes race on. AJ wants to keep racing, but there are no more this year within 3 hours of where we live. Yesterday he told me that he is going to practice going real fast on the trails in the park across the road from where he lives. That he needs to get better going around curves. that he doesn't like curves at the bottom of a hill and usually falls down. He is a very serious bike rider.

Success! Now to take care of about 40 others, one at a time.

I am able to lurk here, but can only log in on phone. Was told that all passwords and bookmarks were transferred to new laptop. None were.
I hope to spend most of Tuesday restoring everything. I have a tough time posting here on my very small phone. Not having access to things like word, photoshop, emails, paying bills, photos, documents, etc., has been very tough.
I hope things get back to normal soon:

Beautiful. I paint some rocks, too. Not as easy as many think it is.

In the middle of having a dead laptop I decided to get a new/used car. I had to get something before Winter. Found this nice 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport. Low miles, new tires and some great options.
Will be finalizing purchase and picking up Friday after work.
Ok, so I get no option to upload a photo from my phone, lol.
Will edit post to include photo when my laptop is repaired.

A wonderful trip as usual. I love the river, mountain, trees and mist photos. That is a place I could spend a lot of time in.

Great work and descriptions. The stones compliment each other very well. Looking forward to see what the setting is.

Welcome from Amherst, WI. I currently have some WI Moonstone in a tumbler. Did you find it yourself .... if so ...would you mind saying where ? I bought a not very good piece at a Museum but sure would love to find some for myself. Am at 45/90 so am a "neighbor" to some fellow Wisconsinites. No. I was given it by a friend. She collected it with her parents in the 1980's. Before the area where it was became a major HWY 51/29 interchange in Wausau. I recently heard that someone who has a major deposit on his land is allowing small group digging. I do not know what he is charging. Was told anywhere from $10-$20 per pound. He takes groups out.

I'm so sorry, Beth. I know how much Sierra meant to you. If it's any consolation it sounds like she went easy and you had one last great day with her. (((HUGS))) Thank you. Appears she died in her sleep for some reason. I am going to make some Memorial jewelry from her fur. today or tomorrow. It might bring me a little peace.

Another option. Plum Blossom Jasper? I had never heard of this variety before, but it matches.

I am heartbroken for you. It's such a hard loss. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts. She was beautiful! So beautiful and smart. The only other with me at home now is my 23 year old Appaloosa, Satin. Her and Sierra got along great. Satin is grieving, too.

My Sierra went over the Rainbow Bridge last night. She was fine yesterday. We were playing a lot. She was eating/drinking. No sign anything was wrong. She was rather old for her breeds, but still acted like a puppy at times. My heart is broken. Here is a charcoal drawing I did of her based on one of the above photos. This photo was selected to be in a 2023 calendar that was a fundraiser for the dog rescue my friend has. Some of you here might remember that Sierra often gave me rocks she found. She was good at finding nice rocks. My life is not the same without her.

fernwood Alas poor Yorick - just for the heck of it try a black light on him and see if anything happens. I was going to try a UV light when he arrives.

Info from my friend. Sorry, but I think I am bordering on something not allowed here, but it is important for ID.
She said this is a Singer Skull. "Singers have a reputation for being even more 'talkative" than regular skull carvings. They are difficult to carve and that's why you'll usually only find them in harder materials. They often break during the process and take a lot of skill to carve".
The harder material would rule out basalt.

Saturday at work the grandmother of our musical performer was giving these to employees and others. Beautiful Passion Flowers. I could not resist the opportunity to take some photos of mine. Taken with my DSLR on Macro setting. Added the macro lens for these.
