Yeah, that is a weird color. Any chance you can make a daylight image? Where was it found. Not good coords but zip code or something close is fine. It's not sunny but overcast see if this pic helps n no I don't know where it came from my ol man found it years ago most likely from colorado though flic.kr/p/PPKac5

Is the yellowish area translucent or opaque? What's the hardness like? have you tried scratching it with a knife? Yo tommy thanks for the help! The yellowish area is only opaque in a couple small areas And the knife test only left a silver line that I wiped off easily leaving no mark at all flic.kr/p/Q3oNGHHere's the stone with water

You need the one says .jpg It's not really, conglomerate it's just the closest approximation this past summer I found a giant boulder field of this stuff

My vote would be: "quartz pebble extraformational conglomerate". Thanks for the lead greig I really appreciate it. I have to disagree though it's not a conglomerate. The quartz pocket was bout the size of a basketball n the entire stone was The size of a beach ball here's a conglomerate and another example stone of the same kinda formation but smaller quartz crystals s345.photobucket.com/user/ryyan10/library/mysterious?sort=3&page=1
