Both! 7 weeks in rotary then 3 days each in each of the 4 steps in a vibe 7 weeks in rotary! I assume that was running Coarse grit? What size grit? I would think that you would have ground those pieces away. Or is Chevron Quartz harder than normal Quartz? I did lose some material but I like to have them really smooth. 5 weeks were in 36 and then the rest in 60/90. Almost all of my jasper/quartz/agate loads go for that long

They appear to be a variety of stones. Where were they purchased from? China 🙄

Hello!
I've been seeing a lot of glass talk and I don't want to miss this boat! I found some great glass to tumble at the local thrift store so I'd like to get started!
I'm going to start with 120 grit for a few days, well cushioned. The only question is- rotary or vib?
Thank you and happy new year!

Truly impressed. I must try this glass thing!!!
Question- was that just a normal beer bottle? I have a restaurant so I am privy to a wild selection of booze bottles. Can these be tumbled?

My last agate for awhile.... Material from roughstone rocks in New Hampshire. Great service.

Could you post more pictures of the botswana agate rough? I think I could be talked into 10 pounds

Hello!
I'm in a jasper phase. I'd like something a little more unique or striking. I do not have advanced equipment so tumble sized preferred
Thank you!

I'm still experimenting with my new QT-66. For the first time I am using grit courser than the 60/90 that I was used too.
The first two loads in the QT-66 had some pros and cons. I currently have banded amethyst in there; they're free of any cavities, holes, dents or divits but they are not as smooth as I usually find after 60/90. Now to be fair they got to this point in half the time so I can send them back in for another week of 36 no problem or I was thinking putting them in smaller barrels with 60/90
Any thoughts on this?

I’ve fallen in love with my QT-66- the 36 grit really does a great job. I have a pair of 33B’s in the basement. Can I get tougher than 60/90?

What a cool looking rock. Those all look great. We’re they done in a tumbler or vibe or both? Thanks for sharing with us. 4 weeks in a rotary with weekly clean outs Then I did 4 days in vibe 220 (clean out after 2 days) 2 days 500 2 days in 1000 4 days in polish with a clean out after 2 days then I burnished them for an hour with borax
