Very interesting, Dave, thanks! We've done a couple of hikes in Kodachrome S.P., this picture is from the Panorama Trail. Right of center you can see a Sandstone Pipe. Win , this photo has disappeared. w\What happened? The host site closed, I'll see if I can resurrect them.

Someone reminded me of my thread on Rock Art. The Craig Childs book "Tracing Time", has a large snake petroglyph on the cover. We visited that site on our way home from Dinosaur N.M. Another nearby - the "Juggler"

We took a few days to visit Dinosaur N.M. and the surrounding area, didn't disappoint. This is a large area and features rivers, rock art and a terrific quarry that's been preserved. The quarry is a covered area, 150 feet long and 2 stories high. They have left the bones in situ, just amazing to view. Hard to wrap your brain around bones that are 65 million years old. Within a few miles of the quarry is some great rock art and views. There are seven lizards on this panel, we had a lot of fun counting them through binoculars: These were at McKee Spring, about 20 miles from the quarry. Hundreds of years old:

Randy, let me know if you can do another box like this. Kids loved the last I got from you, can always use a more.

My area had a bad fire about 15 years ago a whole forest of them burned up. Sad to lose anything natural, takes years to replace.

I've met the owner, in fact, he once had a rock/jewelry shop in my area. I actually stopped to photograph a cemetery and just walked over to this, I did not see anyone around.

That is gold county, Eldorado Canyon area. One of the few places in Nevada where you can find gold that can be seen with the naked eye. Most gold in Nevada is microscopic. The area was hit by a major flash flood in 1974 killing 9 people. I was in 3rd grade at the time but still recall the news reports Here is more details on Nelson, including tours: thediscoverynut.com/nelson-ghost-town-everything-you-need-to-know/Thanks for the local knowledge, now my wife wife wants to know why we didn't find gold. lol We drove down from SW Utah and were low on fuel, should have fueled up in Boulder City. We had Jeeps and could have explored a bit, I saw a lot of dirt roads branching off 165. We stayed in Boulder City and the next day drove down to Laughlin to visit Grapevine Canyon. A short walk to some terrific rock art, 800 to 150 years old.

^^^^^ Not sure that "Joshua Trees seldom exist at elevations lower than 5000' sea level" is correct. The areas we see them are all well below 5000' and I can't imagine them at 8000'.

Thanks for tagging me! ClassicRock I have not done the conversion, not sure I will. I'll be interested in hearing how yours runs, I don't remember mine getting hot. I'll be giving the Rock Shed a call after the holidays to see if anything has changed. I loved my Lot O, I bought a Mini Sonic and can't seem to get it working as it should. I need to figure that out!

Yes, that's what he sent me. He stated it would take some mechanical skill to assemble, if I decide to do this, I'll enlist a neighbor that is skilled at improvising.

Any way you could post the pictures of it modded to a Lot O? And which wattage model is recommended? It's the 30W one, here are what I got. Not sure this is much of a help.

Be sure to check that everything is OK to ship, USPS always asks if my package contains perishables. Shipping time can be very long to Australia, my wife has a cousin there and a calendar can take two weeks.
