Arrived safe and sound! I've been going through it and drooling over everything. Thank you so much for the turquoise and findings, fernwood! Mom is super excited and has already stated she wants at least one ring. I'm mostly oogling, holding off incase TByrd is ready to recieve, but there is at least one piece I'm going to keep so far, a small slab of peanut obsidian. I'm not a specimen collector, at least I keep telling myself that despite the growing collection in my bedroom, but this little thing is gorgeous and too cool for me to pass up!

Should be good to go! I think filling in the address label will be perfectly fine, if anything make sure that if you tape over it that you use an acid free tape or the ink will vanish. Thanks, fernwood!

I just noticed the little hidden (baby? Is it wearing a bonnet?) rock in each comic! Very fun!

Yep, then off to TByrd if she's ready, then back to me to prep for the next round!

Wow, so much material!
I don't think extra insurance would be needed, but would be open to discussion!

I'm glad you doing better, TByrd! I believe the box is still with zarguy, but may also be with fernwood. If you're feeling up to it, once the box reaches me, I'll forward it to you TByrd.

I haven't measured or weighed it yet, but I'd guess it's around 7 pounds.

I paid a lot of pretty pennies ($60) for this, but it was too gorgeous to pass up! Labradorite.

Very nice tumbles. I like the lapis also. One thing that I found that helped me put some shine on lapis is using Tin Oxide for a final polish. The load I ran was pretty inconsistent. Some shined really well, others not so much. May be worth a try. These all came out pretty much the same, I used cerium oxide polish. One did better, but contained more Lapis and less of whatever the matrix is made up of.

Luminin I am working on the box today. Am I still sending to Lynn (zarguy)? Andrea Yes! Sorry for the slow reply. New phone, which is great, but I didn't get a notification. Fixing that now!

So, as winter set in, I decided to just let my tumblers run until spring, as cleanout is a huge pain when you're trying to do it in sour cream containers by hand in the basement... Here are a few hasty pictures of my first ever, finished to my satisfaction, rotary tumbled rocks! I'm pretty proud of the Lapis Lazuli. I wasn't expecting any shine from what I've read and been told. What is has isn't fantastic, but it IS there! Thanks for all the information, encouragement and suggestions along the way everyone! ~Cody
