Please join! There's always room for more styles, more types, more rocks and more wire! It doesn't matter if you've just started or if you have callouses on all your fingers from wrapping with silver and/or steel, we want you here. This is a place for no judgments, and to receive constructive criticism, only if desired.
My next two post on this new thread will be (1) a quick summary of instructions since it was requested and it was a great idea; and (2) the list of participants. If you want to join, just post in this thread and I will "amend" the list to include you. If your place in line becomes inconvenient because of other commitments, just let me know and I'll move you around.
Looking forward to it!

THE NITTY GRITTY ON THE RULES: These is an abbreviated version; for more detail please read the introduction to Wire Wrapping IX. THE ORDER:The next post in this thread has the order of mailings. It may change from time to time if there are schedule conflicts or more people wish to join. I’ll put another post on the thread if this happens. WHEN THE BOX COMES:1. You have two weeks to pick a cab from those you have received, wrap it, and send it to the next person. We all know that life interferes with life, so if that happens, please just be courteous and advise the group that you are running a bit behind and give your best estimate of when the wrap will be mailed. It’s nice if you can give an explanation, but if it’s personal, don’t feel obligated to. You can also pass the box you’ve received with the wrap and cabs on to the next person and I can add you back in at the bottom of the list--whatever works best for you. 2. You may keep a few cabs that you particularly like, so long as you replace them with cabs that you have made, pilfered or bought from others. 3. Pick a cab from the group you receive to wrap. This does not have to be replaced, but if you have extras lying around feel free to add another or three so long as they will fit in the box easily. 4. When your wrap is ready (or maybe a few days before), contact me or the next person on the list after you for an address. The wrap and remaining cabs (including your replacement cabs) should be sent in a small flat rate priority USPS box. Pirateship.com will give you a discount on this. PHOTOGRAPHS:1. As soon as you have a chance after the box arrives, take a photograph of the wrap you received. If possible, photograph front and back for those who want to see the back. Also photograph the cabs you received. If you are going to keep some cabs, please photograph what you are keeping and what you are replacing them with. If it’s easier for you, you can do this in a separate photograph. Post to thread. 2. Please do not post a photo to the thread of the wrap you have made—let it be a surprise for the next person! Please DO post when you send it off.

Looks good, thanks! How about posting pics of the cabs? I had some confusion about that part before. Looking back at the old rules it says to post pics of the cabs you received when you post pics of the wrap that the previous person sent.

It's there, rockbrain, right after post a picture of the wrap you received. Something tells me you read like I do--skimming. Unfortunately, I type the same way.

Thank you Susan, susand24224 for asking for photos of the back of the wraps, as well as the front. I for one like to see that and no one ever seems to show it.
Kind of funny I think.

Much to my surprise, I muddled through Jasoninsd's wrap and will be mailing the package Monday. I intended to wait until I returned from my trip, but then decided (for other reasons) to take my computer with me. I am also including the cabs pictured below--these are far from perfect, but my hope is that some oddly shaped ones would appeal to anyone who wants to try something a bit different. They are (top to bottom, left to right): 1. Picasso Stone 2. St. John's Flower agate 3. Carnelian 4. Unsure, possibly dendritic opalite 5. Unsure, possibly Burro Creek 6. Probably a t-egg cut. 7. No clue 8. Fancy Jasper If I interfered with anyone's plans by starting early, I apologize! I will be happy to adjust for any problems I or anything else cause with your schedule.

Well I decided to actually check the mailbox today...and lo and behold there was a SFRB in the box!! Woot Woot! Here's the wrap that susand24224 did for me! I really REALLY like the design of this one! Not gonna lie...I might steal some ideas off this one!

susand24224 I really LOVE what you have created! I know a lot of thought and engineering went into it. AND it's beautiful and well executed, too.

Excellent design susand24224! I love it. What I really like is that the design is "manly" enough for jasoninsd to actually where it. Kudos!

Thank you all for your comments--I'd say more, but cellphone typing and I don't get along very well. 😞
