You guys have really been upping the ante! Lots of new and interesting designs and techniques. In that spirit, Susan susand24224 has come up with a new challenge, should you choose to accept it- and I quote: "Add a coil and a bead. Any bead. Any coil (even if it's just around a wire)." My mind is spinning with with ideas! Maybe I can actually finish one. LOL!
Remember, this is just a little something for fun to help us reach outside our boxes.
First poster chooses the next round.

So can you do more than one bead ? Or more than one coil, for that matter ?? Lots of possibilities . Good one Susan Patty

If I focus hard enough, I might be able to draw a bead on an idea from which I won't recoil!!

Sounds like my kind of challenge. I discovered quite by accident that I surprisingly like adding beads after resorting to using one on my first wrap to cover up a mistake. Never done a true coil but I have done the wrap a wire around another wire method for a faux coil. Now just need to choose a cab!

Just for grins and giggles, I'm posting a couple old pieces that fit the bill. I called these Talismans.
Pau shell, spectrolite, gem silica, rainbow hematite, peridot and amethyst
Aura quartz, turquoise, stichtite, pearls and blue topaz.

Beads & coils Oh MY ! They both have a lot going on in them Tela,
even seed beads in the top one.
I give you a lot of credit for tying so many things in one.
Tell me about the top bail on the first example - the coil/wire looks different/interesting.

Thanks- EZPZ. Take your bail wires, wrap them, bend them forward and curl the lose ends.

On the Pau shell one though, the wire looks like it has groves in it, so I was wondering if it was some kind of coil ? But maybe it's just some kind of decorative wire ? Or maybe I'm just seeing things that aren't there

Keen eye! Yes, it is a special wire. 20 gauge. I don't think they make them anymore. I think it was called Whimsy wire, but I'm not sure.

rockjunquie Those are interesting. I’ve actually been thinking about how to combine two cabs in one wrap. I guess it’s just a “make it work” situation.

Thank you. They are my take on heady wraps. That first one might just be one of my favorite things ever posted on this site, no joke.
What is a "heady" wrap?

Well, thank you. I appreciate that.
A heady wrap is a multi stone wrap with a lot of weaving and coils. Much, much more than on mine.
