velodromed - Velo, thanks for tagging me...and sorry for the delayed response! That beast looks absolutely amazing!!  You know buddy, I was worried for a bit. Thought Bigfoot had finally gotten you. Nice to see you came out on top again. Thank you for sending those to me in the first place! I’ve had a blast with them. Still have a bunch I’m working on slowly. ...been a weird last couple days. I feel like I haven't been on here for 6 months...and it's only been a couple days! LOL I'm stoked that you really put the time and effort into those. They are a pain during the process...but the result is SO worth it! |

jasoninsd Here are two I just finished up. Both are roughly the size of large golf balls and took all these months to do. I started them right after getting them. They are so worth it though! The variety is amazing between the different rocks.

Boy oh boy did those turn out great!!
My father-in-law...being a farmer...always asks how big a rock is that I'm telling him about. It's always based on "egg" size. Is it quail egg, chicken egg, duck egg, or goose egg? Every once in awhile I tell him something is Ostrich egg size just to watch his eye bug out! LOL

As the lake in our neighborhood slowly dried up over the summer, my kid collected golf balls that came from the adjacent small neighborhood golf course. As we moved, I found two, 5 gallon buckets full of dirty, faded golf balls…ugh. |

These two interesting ones just went into the rebel 17. The lighter colored one looks like it could be a big chunk of mostly clear chalcedony, and the darker one is just strange looking. They are unique among all the other prairie agates jasoninsd gave me, so I’m curious how they will turn out. Based on other PAs I’ve done these should take half or more of 2024 to do. They’ll be worth it though. Happy New Year y’all!   |
