Hope everything is ok and he has just gone dark on here for a rest break.

I think Ed’s last name was Arno. I’ll look it up. He had sent me several hearts, and one that had birthstone of Daymond and me. Treasures.

I'm sifting thru the archives to maybe find some clues..

Looks like maybe he was born in the mid late 50's, which would correspond to Rich's find..

Not looking for trouble, just trying to help...you guys have known him longer than me.

I wish Rich was wrong, but everything I've found is pointing to this.

I drove out to see Ed a couple of hours ago. I’ve been trying to contact him through email the past couple of weeks, but he hasn’t responded. Ed had a little room at an acquaintance’s house on Polk street. When I arrived, Ed’s door was padlocked from the outside. I knocked on his door and the main door to the house for about 15 minutes off and on calling out his and the home owner's names. The owner of the house is eccentric to say the least. I have a feeling Tom was there, but he would not respond to me. Ed’s rocks and work station were there, right outside his door.. but no sign of him.

I had also thought his last name was Arno from his “Rock ‘n Heart Pendant” business cards and what he had written on the board, but I believe Arno was his play on Arnaud.

Ed was a word man after all.


These things I got from Spokeo after seeing Rich’s post:

“Edward John Arnaud, Age 66
Aka: Ed Arnaud

Edward was born in June 1956.”

I know Ed’s mom had lived in Litchfield Park, just west of me. A few times several years ago he would stop by and see us after visiting with her. She passed away a few years back. I believe this was her obituary.

He had also had told me stories about his dad Remo, and reminisced from back when they lived in Show Low.


I hate to say it.. and I desperately hope I’m wrong, but I believe we’ve lost our friend.

Brian, thanks for doing that work.  Simply based upon Ed's wordplay and such with his last name, and the fact the guy Rich found was also on Ed's street, it's sadly looking that way.

Since you seemingly have the most background about Ed with his parent's names and such, is it asking too much for you to reach out to the phone number that was in Rich's post?  County agencies like that are usually brought on board when there is seemingly no next of kin.  Since you know his parents' names, perhaps that can help with a search for any relatives.

ETA:  Upon reading mom's obit, there is a possibility there are siblings and/or nieces and nephews.

I had seen Ed’s name handwritten somewhere along the line and thought it was Amaud or possibly Anaud.
An r next to an n can easily look like an m.
