velodromed nice haul!! I'll bet you can resell the graveyard if u can't use it. Did you mean blue bed not blue "bell"? I ask bc I e not heard of a RRR blue bell tegg. That’s what was written on the bag. I had to look at it several times closely, it was quite badly written. Could have been blue bed and someone was eating blue bell ice cream so…yeah, hell if I know lol. Funny thing is I actually ordered Priday thunder eggs. Whatever they are they look pretty cool.

I’ll save the graveyard because someday I’ll have a big, better saw. I have quite a few rocks I can’t process yet that I’m saving for ‘someday’.

Hmmm…someone wanted to see the graveyard pointe agate but I can’t remember who. Maybe jasoninsd or dillonf … Well, here it is! I sprayed it down first. Oh, one of these sent me into a coughing fit. It was when I was opening the thunder eggs and graveyard point. My throat and nose still itch, so I think I’ll flush my sinuses out now. Man, I coughed hard enough to strain a back muscle which sucks. I’ll feel it for weeks. I’ll wear a mask before messing with them again. I also bit off more then I can handle with the grave yard point. Too big to tumble and for my saw, ugh. I’ll break up the Sarape Jasper with a hammer, it feels tough. The graveyard pt feels like it would shatter though. Sarape Jasper (wow!!) Black Skin Agate Rainbow Agate I also got 5lbs of Blue Bell Thunder Eggs but didn’t get a picture yet. Those are some great pieces of rough! Nice!!

velodromed did your tepee agates arrive in that batch? Crud, somewhere along the line I must have either gotten them mixed up with graveyard agate, changed my mind, forgot to order them or…I really don’t know. I’ve had a lot of concussions and it shows at times.

I'm guessing option 1 since i couldn't find tepees listed on the Richardson's website Looks like you've got enough goodies to keep you busy for awhile nonetheless, thanks for sharing.

So I went CSI on it, dug through the trash can, found the bits of paper, taped them together… Yeah, I got me some Blue BED thunder eggs. Nice.

Just keep in mind you need a 265nm short wavelength UV light for the South Dakota Chalcedony to "work" properly. These are much less common and more expensive than other UV lights.

I am interested in how that black skin agate polishes up. I've seen some vendors charging quite a bit for it, so I'd like to know why it commands a high price.

dillonf I just unloaded the rebel 17 (ouch). Put most the petrified wood aside and loaded it with a mix of black skin agate, rainbow agate and even got a chunk of serepe Jasper and graveyard point in there. I also kept the weird rock and a few of the really nice pieces of petrified wood in it. So in a couple of weeks we’ll see how they look. Oh, I also put two of the smaller Thunder eggs in.

I love it, but I should have thought of my back and neck issues more because it’s heavy for what I can handle now. But someday it won’t be, I hope, so I’m glad I got it. I posted the pics of the pet wood in ‘a little petrified wood tumble…’ I kept a few of the better pieces in but swapped most out. I’m just really curious about the rocks I got from Richardson ranch. I’ll integrate more of the pet wood in the coming month or so.

These are my neck issues. The side view is my favorite because I can see the surgical stainless steel screws clearly. The parts that look like a bike chain of sorts, are titanium, my favorite metal. Yes, I set of metal detectors. What you can’t see is the degenerative disk disease and ruptured disk running all the way down my spine. All are trauma related from a life of craziness. I also have a twice rebuilt shoulder, rebuilt knees, the left half of my face is plastic surgery (went through a windshield age 17) and numerous other injuries. Last October I had a spinal stimulator installed. It’s like a pace maker for my central nervous system. The device is implanted in my hip and the implanted leads run up my spine on both sides of T3/4. It intercepts some of the pain signals from damaged nerves and turns them into non-pain signals. But it can’t help my neck area, just t-3/4 and down. Took two surgeries last year to install, but then it broke several months ago so I went through the same damn thing again. It definitely helps but not as much as I hoped. I can walk and mostly function at least. For every hour on my feet it takes several to recover. So if I whine or complain about pain and forget or get things mixed up, this is why and I apologize for it. I hated to like your post. That looks agonizing! I have some pretty big issues with my lumbar back. I'm getting the nerves ablated at 2 3 4 and 5 next week. Hopefully that will help.
