Cut a small nodule. First time seeing this color-way. Both my wife and I had the same reaction…WOW! That is some really cool material.

khara, take your time. There is no deadline involved. It should be fun, not work!

She said she didn't have postage money, so I sent her the money and she kept it longer.

I get probably over crotchety about things like that. I get super pissed when people let me down, especially when I go out of my way.

I get that 100%. I just tend to be hyper critical and forget that others don’t operate the same way I do, without going into further detail.

I understand as I think most people have a tendency to forget not everyone is like we are. It's also easy to thin we "know" someone because we interact with them on a platform such as this. We judge based just off someone typing something, and I'm just as guilty of it

I get in trouble with how I say things because in person I tend to be an overly direct and blunt person. Then when I speak the same way through text, it just comes across like I’m snide or an ass. My gf is constantly on my ass about it 😂

Ya…I know. It arrived right at the beginning of the busy part of my week where I work two jobs so unfortunately it just sat for a few days. And, my kind of luck again, I had some unexpected family stuff come up that took the few hours I thought I’d have available. Oh, then there’s the roof quotes, fun, we discovered we need a new roof, yay. Then…. When I did get into the box, I took a long time with it! I realized a lot of what I have I don’t know the identity of so I spent some time looking things up, and then I decided I wanted to actually do a little cutting and include some items that I’ve never cut before. Anyway, it was fun and it forced me to learn a little bit. I’m still cutting just with my little trim saw and so the biggest thing I identified is I need a better process for cutting slabs. Getting multiple parallel cuts on a trim saw is… not easy. I’ve always just cut one for myself and if it was slightly tapered no big deal, so that’s going to be a project and hopefully something I can figure out. I’ll post pics soon!

khara, I use a small tile saw for trimming. It came with a simple attachment that makes it possible to trim exactly parallel to the previous cut. It looks like a ruler that attaches to the saw bed.

Thank you Pat I’ll look at some pictures to get an idea. I’m going to be collecting ideas and brainstorming to try and come up with something to add to my current trim saw. I did consider for a quick fix a ruler or even laser line to follow. It has a traveling/sliding guide but the thing is so tiny it doesn’t hold hardly anything, except already cut slabs.
