Ok, here's my pics! What I took: And, additional unplanned taking as I couldn't fit all my stuff in the box: What I put in: And, wet for a better view: This was fun! Thanks all for your patience with the time. I tried to put in a wide variety and all stuff that I would enjoy working with. I even had some people in mind with particular items I put in so it'll be interesting to see what y'all get/take. I cut some of the slabs just for this box. Sorry about the slight taper on some, I'm having to hand hold in a trim saw. (I have definitely bought worse tapers though!) The box should arrive at Robin's place on Saturday. Enjoy!

khara, nice choices. You are now officially one of very few that has obtained chinese jasper lol. Also... holler at me before you process that batcave. I can show you how to process that to yield some really nice cabs.

Part of me wishes I would have gotten in on this, but the other part of me knows I really had nothing but tumbles to give back and even those aren't really considered fancy. I do have slabs that I may never use, but even still, the material you guys put in is really nice and blows mine away. Been fun to watch this thread either way

Been fun to watch this thread either way I'm a part of this exchange, and every time I see what people are putting in the box my heart sinks a little. I only tumble and have only been doing it for a couple years, so I don't have all the awesome rare slabs or super rare cabs or specimens or anything. But rockjunquie offered the best advice, which is the point of this whole thing is to have fun and look at pretty rocks! That's what I'm looking forward to! Also, one man's trash is another man's treasure, and what I end up putting in the box may make someone happy (hopefully as happy as this stuff makes me). I may not take a lot out, because I don't have a lot of cool stuff to replace it with, but I'll definitely take out something and love the heck out of it!

I felt the same way when I 1st started and all I can say is SIGN up the next time. It's a great way to see different rocks and start adding to your must have list

It's a great way to see different rocks and start adding to your must have list Yeah, in spite of my feelings of inadequacy, I'm absolutely loving this process and really looking forward to getting the box and looking through it! I'm the last on the list, so that makes it a bit cooler to me for some reason.

Son Of Beach hplcman I tried to put a variety in for everyone including some fun tumbling material in addition to the slabs and display pieces. I started in tumbling because that was the easiest and least expensive way to get into the hobby and it also fulfilled my childhood dream of having a tumbler.🤓 I don’t do much tumbling anymore mostly due to lack of time. The little time I do have I prefer to spend improving my cabbing but I still appreciate pretty tumbles. I would have put more material in the box and had planned to dig around in my old tumbling stuff for more but the rough and tumble areas of the box were already really full. Hopefully you get some cool tumbling material hplcman I look forward to seeing how the material I put in eventually turns out.

I just wish I had more room to fit more stuff. Ideally I would’ve liked to add more rough for the tumblers. I also would’ve liked to add more variety material and multiple slabs of each.

I have been thinking that there are a lot of other people that can utilize the expensive slabs better than I can. Sure I can find something new and not expensive in there that I will really like playing with.

I was hoping some of the Bat Cave would make it to me and the Chinese Jasper looks amazing as well as the Royal Eyes Cabenite. That's ok, I'm expecting jasoninsd to add some big slabs of Fairburn Agate. (JK I know that's sacrilegious)

I was actually looking through one of my buckets on the table last night (or the night before)...and found Fairburn slices in one of them. None of them are "A" grade...but I thought I might put some in the box. That way someone would at least have the opportunity to say they had and worked a few. I forgot who was after me...and now I know for sure who I have to send the box to! LOL
