I have a US skybox address. This would qualify me? I think the major problem is the double shipping cost you would need to pay, and the time it takes to receive the box and mail the box out to the next recipient. That is true. and I don't have good rocks here. :-( Trinidad sucks balls

The traveling box arrived today. Hopefully will get through it this weekend and get it back on the road early next week. Sure is heavy.

In the first photo, what is the top most dark rock on the left (with the red vein in it)? It was free in the box when I got it. Thanks. Chris

chris1956 The dark green ones right? I believe those are Bloodstone. My picture is kind of blurry and hard to make out but I think I remember putting some of those in. That group of rocks I thought might make good tumbles. The already tumbled ones I hadn’t gotten the best polish on so thought maybe someone could improve them. But if you grab the green one(s) and get a better pic maybe someone can confirm Bloodstone.

I got through the box today. Plan to make my choice tomorrow. Thought people might like to see what is currently in the box (I know you won't be able to see everything clearly). It pretty much covered a 25x72 inch table. I can't believe it all fit in that box. pebblesky, I replaced most of your bags as they were pretty close to falling apart (since you were the first one on the list). Thanks for putting the paper label on the inside of each one. Works out better than the marker on the plastic bags. If there is someone yet on the list that likes to tumble, I would recommend the Gobi agates and jasper. There are a good number left and although I haven't finished polishing mine, they look like they will be really good. The Gobi agates look like they will end up looking like glass. I replaced several other bags that were in bad shape also and included new labels on the inside of some where the markers were wearing off. Chris

Thanks for fixing things up. I replaced a few bags, I had planned on doing more but ran out of time.

Wow! I'm amazed all of that fits in the box! I'm looking forward to seeing what is exchanged!

Well, don't have exchange photos yet. I can see now that the hardest part of this is fitting everything back in the box. I took out the largest piece and several others and couldn't fit the remaining (without mine) back in. Who put the expanding rocks in there? Will get serious about it tomorrow. I think my new bags added too much volume.

Yes, it is his fault. I was going to take the other big rough piece that he put in to free up more space but he said a few people had asked him to put some larger rough in the box. So I was hoping to take one and put several smaller rough pieces back in. I am going to have to use my organizational skills (cram it in) tomorrow.

I have made my selections and put new additoins to the box and it will go to the post office to Dillon tomorrow. Here are the items I took. Holt Canyon agate rough, 1980s Fordite cab, Millofiori glass, Mariposite slab, Fairburn agate, agate slab (is this Teepee Canyon? I didn't see it in any of the addition photos), petrified wood (I think), and Royal velvet sheen obsidian. If someone can confirm the agate and petrified wood that would be great. Closeups of those two follow. Here is what I added. I tried to keep a Michigan theme (other than Amethyst and Sodalite) since I didn't see anything in the box from Michigan. Petoskey stone slab, Amethyst slab, Unakite slab, Sodalite slab, Unakite rough, horn coral slab, 4 Lake Superior agates ("old stock" collected by me in 1977 in Wnona, Minnesota at the gravel mine piles - bet you can't do that anymore), Charlevoix (favosities) stone that could make small slabs, Petoskey stone that could make a slab or two, 4 "old stock" Michigan Greenstones (chlorastrolite) collected by me in the 1970s somewhere on the Keweenaw Peninsula. The greenstones would probably be best for earrings or a ring but you might get a small cab out of one of them. Here are closeups of some of the ones I added dry and then wet on some. Wet

Jealous of those unakite! I’ve found several in my yard but so far they all have little enough feldspar that they may as well be epidosite. Still waiting to find a good one large enough to slab.

That slab is from a rock that I found on State property near my brother's property in the northern part of the LP of Michigan. It has the most feldspar of any unakite that I have found. I have made Christmas tree ornaments from it. I probably need to make a cab.

I didn't know about Greenstone then did a search. Wow! Both the polished look and the price.

Some good looking stuff in there! I love horn coral. The piece you kept that you're thinking is petrified wood, I think is bone.
