Ok I swapped out some stuff The box was great! It was good family time. My wife, daughter and I looked at stuff and had fun ooooing and ahhing. The girls picked a few and I tried to find stuff in my boxes I thought was a fair trade. Stuff I took: Egg, two bumble bee jasper slabs, coral fossil, amethyst slab Stuff I put in: Three MLA slabs, Mexican coconut geode (smokey quartz), Idaho seam agate (from Tony) There was a little space in the corner, so I threw in an Oco geode. I think it is hollow I bought a big box of mine run stuff and most were solid, but this one is real light, so I think it has a cavity. Ok I just need to get titaniumman address, and hopefully I can get it out to him this week. This was a great idea! Glad I participated. Also, sorry I dropped off the map for a while. We finally got in our new house, but stuff hasn't settled down yet. I know because I fall asleep before my head even hits the pillow. Hoping once the little one gets back in school I'll get into a better routine. Dillon If you work some of the bumblebee post it on here. I got quite a bit of it but haven't done anything with any yet. Will do. I've always loved the color of bumblebee jasper!

Alrighty velodromed I sent the box your way today! Will PM the details later. Ok buddy, I just got the box. Its arrival coincides with school orientation earlier today, school starting tomorrow 6th grade, gymnastics started an hour ago, my elderly folks suddenly decided to move to a retirement community so I’ve been moving stuff all weekend and my house is chaos… *oh, we got a new puppy as well a few days ago and that’s been just great(passout) So ya’ll please bear with me. I’ll try to get through this within 7-10 days and off to the next destination. Speaking of which… orneryboi please send me your mailing info when you have a chance. Many thanks everyone!!

We are having had an absolute blast going through the box. We’ve been doing it as a family so it’s taking forever, especially with my neck issue (fused c2-7). We are about 3/4th of the way through right now and we haven’t fully picked out what we’re going to choose…But I have gone through my stock and chosen some of our favorite pieces to put in the box. Here’s the group shot of what Im hoping to fit in. I don’t really have a ton of fancy rocks but I’ve collected some unique petrified wood among other Texas chalcedony and agates we’ve found in our wonderings around south central Texas. I do have a habit of polishing all of my small slabs that I cut because I tend leave a few bad saw marks. So I do a combination of gentle tumbling in a 3 pound Tumblr and then weeks of polishing in my raytech 5 or lot-o. Starting up top going clockwise- 2 natural pieces of central Texas petrified wood. I think the whitish one is agatized under that lime coating. At the 2 o’clock position is an uncut 1970’s batch Botswana agate. It looks like it could be beautiful inside, but I’m not sure how to cut it. From 3-6 are two slabs from a very unique black and white pet wood chunk I found in the Llano river awhile back. The red one below is from a small, beautifully agateized petrified wood piece we found recently. It’s unlike any other pet wood we’ve found. Next a a small pocket rot pet wood slab That my great grandfather collected. Then there’s another small pet wood slab I like. At 7 o’clock is a quartz or agate coral piece, I think. Next is a small Texas chalcedony/agate under the white lime crud. Then a couple pieces Leland blue and a couple gobi agates my wife had bought. In the center is a slab of that crazy agate/braceated chert and jasper we found a year back. Hopefully somebody will be able to make beautiful cabs from it. Below is a slab cut from a blue chalcedony that my great grand father had collected 100 years ago or so. Lastly, below the gobe I agates is an interesting…petrified mud rock? Banded chert like I’ve never seen? It’s softer than chert though, I think it’s only a six on the mohs scale. But it has a beautiful pattern, so I’m hoping somebody can make something unique out of it. Please let me know if these are downright boring or don’t meet expectations of the box. I also need a few more days to finish going through this. My goal is to get it out by Friday or Saturday. This is an amazing experience we are having so far! I really appreciate the opportunity to be part of it and apologize for dragging my feet. I’m working on it though.

Had a small setback with my neck, so I haven’t been able to do anything since my last post a couple days ago. I do know for certain that I’m taking that little turd looking rock that Dylan put in there, a geode of some type I believe. I will replace it with another small turd looking rock, a moldy Texas chalcedony or agate of sorts. My daughter grabbed a few of the little block shaped petrified corals and my wife fell in love with one of the chunks of fordite. Should be able to finish going through it today or tomorrow and I’ll post a picture of what we’d like to take.

orneryboi The box is on its way! I’ll message you the tracking info shortly. I repacked the box best I could. Some slabs had broken, like the hells canyon pet woods, rose quartz slabs (except for one) and a few others. So I added some cushioning in areas using bubble wrap, but there’s literally zero room left so could only do so much. Here’s what we took… thank you so much for the opportunity to take part in this!

That was a lot of fun looking through everything and being a part of this. Even had fun tetris'ng everything back in:) The package was shipped out to Justin on Monday, he has the shipping number. Traded out a slab of royal Sahara, tigers eye, sodalite and a chunk of fordite. Also took a piece of millie fiore, Indonesian palm and two small bumblebee jaspers. Replaced with some labradorite slab chunks, two Stinkingwater oaks, a crazy Biggs, two totem jaspers, a purple cow agate, a small Morrisonite and two slabs of mystery porcelain I found near the Morrisonite claim. Thank you guys for making this happen! Patrick

I need to move my son down to Santa Cruz this weekend, so most likely won't get to anything until the following weekend. I'm really looking forward to seeing everything in there! Just an FYI to the group... I'm just a humble tumbler and can't really do anything with slabs and stuff. I'll take out some tumbling material and put back in some sweet stuff I got from RWA3006 that I bought from him a while ago. It's material that he recommended I don't tumble, so hopefully the winner of the auction will find it useful!
