It has been two years since I joined RTH. I am very grateful to have learned a lot from you and have enjoyed a lot of your excellent work, as well as being part of a lot of fun discussions.
I would like to host a small fun raffle activity with some small prize to celebrate my two-year anniversary in RTH. Hope you enjoy the activity, and you time in RTH.
How to participate:
Prize:
A bag of rocks for tumble (or whatever you want to do with them). I will keep adding rocks until they hit the capacity of a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Padded Envelope.
Link and link to larger pictures and their names.
Raffle rule:
One participant will win the prize. The minute of you post will be your raffle number. For example, if your post with a tumbled
rock in this thread is 16:45, your raffle number will be 45. If you don't like your raffle number, you can always post another reply with a picture. Note that whoever takes a specific raffle number first will have advantage to win when there is a tie. One strategy is to submit the post at the minute that nobody else claimed the number already.
As soon as it approaches Sep 17, I will check the number of the US population on Sep 16 at www.census.gov/popclock/, and calculate the remainder of the US population number divided by 60. The remainder (we call it N) should be an integer between 0-59. Whoever holds the raffle number that is closest to N will win the prize. If there is a tie, whoever posts their entry earlier wins the prize.
The United States population on September 16, 2024 was: 337,116,365. The number mod 60 is 5
Participants & raffle numbers:
I will update the participants, their raffle numbers and their post timestamp here.
Raffle numbers not already taken:
Shipping the prize:
I will cover the shipping cost to a US address. International winner could choose to cover the shipping cost themselves, or pass the prizes to the next person.
