Ok, this one is bugging me.....clues: not DIRECTLY related to rocks or lapidary, so that means it could be used for that, also I cannot imagine you would send someone (on this forum) something that couldn't be used in that direction... Marie Ear phones - not directly used for lapidary work, but I'm sure some of you are wearing them to listen to music while working away. The main clue was actually 'I hear where you are coming from on this one but the answer is still not in sight.'

When he gave the clue, he also said '' I hear where you are coming from on this one,but the answer isnt in sight "I may be wrong, but I think this was another clue.Something hidden that makes noise. Somebody guess this dang thing, I'm tired of looking at it. snuffy Well done Bryan, but you answered a tad too late, Simon - Rockfromahardplace - beat you to it.

Thank you for the intriguing contest. I always knew it's something small, looking at the irregularities in that three arms star in the center. Congrats Simon!

Great guess Simon! I would have never gotten that. I remember doing things like this in junior high school. The one I remember the most was a close up of a cucumber with the little pricklies still on it. It looked like lizard skin with coarse hairs on it. What a surprise when we found out it what it was!
Rogue, thanks for the fun contest. My family had a great time picking our brains on what it may have been.

That was a good one, John! I was on the right track w/my tweeters & woofers, haha. Thinking old school instead of new age. And I have bought Ipod thingies for the kids, but so far no one has bought me one, darn it! Congrats, Simon!
