It's 4:45 AM, 2/2/11 and it's 11 freaking degrees outside! I want Global Warming back! Yeah I know, some of you guys are way below zero, but this is not normal here.
Our electric co can't supply enough electricity when it's this cold and the power is going off and on constantly. Probably going to blow up everything electrical I have.
Rant over. Going to get some more blankets to pile on top of me.

Curt, don't you have a couple of dogs to put under those blankets with ya or a cat to sit on your lap to keep you warm? Only costs kibbles. ;D Jo

Hey Curt, quit your complaining. 27 below here, with 45 below wind chill, and I've just finished blowing out the driveway. Just starting to get the feeling back in my hands. It's a good day to stay indoors, cover up and drink lots of coffee.

Curt: We hit 10 degrees here at the ranch last night, it's still 10 with a windchill of - 4 cause it's blowing hard. It was a max of 21 yesterday. Went out in the shop to look for some stuff for Lowell, went to fill a spray bottle and the pipes are all frozen so no water out there. Now I get to see if any pipes are broken after it finally thaws. Supposed to be colder tonight. I'm a hot weather guy so this is Hell for me!!!!. I think I'm going to hibernate till it thaws and I have to call the plumber...Mel
PS: I want to get that blowhard mo fo Al Gore over here and chain him in my shop so his hot air will warm the friggin place up and I can use his BS to fertilize my garden.

Best winter in Salem yet, lows in the 30s - highs today in the mid-40s. just get February behind us. Then the second, spring. Two season`s in the Valley, Spring and Autumn.
Though the rest of the country laughs at use when we get a few inch`s of snow. The news make a big deal of it.
Blue and dry today. Nice to have the heater off shore.

OK, gotta chime in here.............we have been in the 70's for the last month but today...........right now we are 33 degrees and todays high will be 46! Tomorrow will be 54 then back into the 60 - 70s. Even in Arizona it gets cold! Forgot to let the water drip so our pipes are frozen! Sucks! Warm thoughts for everyone!
Forgot to mention that yesterday the winds were 40 mph, hope today is better!

Wow Brian, I remember my Dad talking of Cheyenne getting down to 40 below and wind blowing so hard you could not get outside, that was back in the late 40's. That year was the first time he had seen snow collect on the ground. She drove a panel bread truck and had to learn fast to drive in the snow.

We had 5 degrees this morning and I went outside in a sweater just to see what it would feel like. I love it. Glad I don't have to shovel and do all that stuff that some of you do. Oh yeah, last night when the temps dropped my wife and I went to Dunkin' Donut (about midnight) and had some hot chocolate. Afterwards when we got back I went outside in my camping recliner, bundled up really good and just let the snow fall on me. It was quite bright. Didn't seem like nighttime at all. Stayed out for about 30 minutes or so.

You definitely have to learn to enjoy it. If it's still below zero where you are, take cup of boiling water outside and throw it in the air. That's always good for a few minutes of entertainment.
Hate to break it to you Curt, but this type of weather is a predicted as a result of global warming.

So when does the warming part of global warming come back? When I was younger it got cold like this, then it warmed up. Then in the 80's it got cold again and then warmed up. Now it's getting cold again. It's called cycles Chuck and the earth has been doing it for way longer than your lifetime.

*LOL* Chuck, that's just the excuse global warning fans use because they're embarrassed by the last three years of awful friggin cold weather. Gee, if it's hot, it's global warming, if it's cold, why it must be global warming, if it's a world class blizzard, yep global warming! If it's drought, it's global warming and if it's floods and hurricanes, it's global warming *L*. Like Curt says, the weather is cyclical, the rest is just a load of horsemanure and made up pop culture science. My next door neighbor just lost his well due to freezing and has the repair guy there now. I'm with Curt, bring on the mother freaking global warming *L* And Condor, dude you are out of yore mind *L!...Mel

Don't know how much more of this "global warming" I can stand. This is 4 winters in a row of sub zero global warming, and when it melts it'll be 4 springs in a row of flooding.
