Got the saw stand built, slab catcher installed & motor mounted. I think I just need to get the lid on and boards on the vice jaws & it'll be completed.

Hi Lynn, that hole is actually a window. There's a piece of polycarbonate mounted inside. This pic shows it better

Exciting news - The saw works!
Here's a video cutting the heel off a Montana agate.
I need to rethink the saw cabinet. I had some leaks in a few seams. I don't want to have to drain it after every use.
I'll post pix of the few slabs I cut in the slabs and saws section later.

I'm no engineer but guessing more goop in the right places can resolve the leak, I hope so anyhow. Looking forward to seeing the slabs!

Sweet, nothing like seeing the fruits of your labor and engineering come to life. As for the leaks maybe clean the !@ out of the spots with dawn and maybe a solvent then fill in with some gutter sealant. The butyl kind should stick and hold up pretty good.

Thanks guys. It was exciting to watch slabs being cut!
I packed the saw up and took it to my parents' house to store in the shed. (needed room in the garage which prompted finishing the saw) Upon closer inspection I'm thinking the leaks are in areas that won't leak if the saw is not running. The ball valve I installed for a drain may have been leaking where it's mounted in the cabinet too. As mentioned a good degreasing & sealant should take care of that.
Worse case scenario I'll build a new saw cabinet.
