New minerals that would have been posted yesterday, but our substitute mail carrier who has the IQ of a slug put the package in the wrong mailbox. Thankfully we have honest neighbors. ROFL, jakesrocks! My apologies, but I had a good chuckle when I read that statement. Glad that your neighbors brought your specimens to you. I see you are breaking bad with the outstanding specimens - WoW!! LoVe all of them!!! Those are superb!

Without seeing prices I think the other guy gave you a better deal quality wise No doubt about it Glenn, but this second seller has some very rare minerals that I may not otherwise be able to get for my collection. This second seller does do a better job of packaging minerals for shipping,But I've only had one break from my favorite seller, and as soon as I let him know, he sent a replacement.

At least your 2nd seller sends another if they break.. Maybe he would rather send another if his time is more valuable than the specimen. If you get to keep the broken one all the better!.

He doesn't want the broken one back. I repaired it and set it aside to give away to a kid just getting into minerals.

Even though you get a freebie from this seller, these are very nice specimens, jakesrocks. I like the boulangerite in quartz and will have to look for one to add with the ever-growing quartz w/ inclusions group. That's a sweet garnet specimen, and heulandite, too. Not familiar with mullite, but I like it with the blue sapphire. He doesn't want the broken one back. I repaired it and set it aside to give away to a kid just getting into minerals.

No problem Jan. Minerals are minerals. Not all of mine are thumbnails.
Love that Hematite.
I'll be bidding on a bunch more this evening.

Received some new minerals & a freebie today. Those who have followed this thread know that I have a fascination with pseudomorphs. In this round of bidding I was lucky enough to score a double pseudomorph. This specimen started out as a well formed cluster of Calcite crystals. They were replaced by Goethite, wich was later replaced by Ramsdellite. The pic doesn't do this specimen justice. Through the whole process of change, it was retained the Calcite crystal shapes. I'll take & post pics of the other minerals later.

A slightly better pic of the double pseudomorph. Too cold & overcast to take it outside for a pic in sunlight. At least in this pic, you can see the general shape of the original Calcite crystals. And the other stuff that came yesterday. And the freebie. Should be more minerals coming tomorrow.
