You have a very nice collection, I especially like the Artinite specimen, it's special.

I like that one too Rich. Need to get better pics of it. There are 2 nice balls of crystals, and a couple radiating sprays. Need to set up my other camera so I can take macro pics.

Some new stuff today. 2 are freebie man made crystals from the dealer I bought the rest from. First a low level radioactive piece. This will be going in an air and moisture proof box, as soon as my new boxes show up Monday. Next 2 are the man made freebies. A tektite from China And finally, the pointer indicates the crystals on this specimen. Need to try a macro shot of this one.

Great collection Don. All over the world. A lot of chemicals and metals in all those.

Yup, and the collection keeps growing. Wife is all in a panic about the low level radioactive minerals I've been buying. So last night I ordered a really nice lead lined wooden storage case for them. Shipping on the damned thing is almost as much as the box cost, but at least it should put her mind at ease.

Not quite a TN... The crystal is, but the whole thing is KS. Carrollite with chalcopyrite on calcite

Also your silica carbide should be silicon carbide or man made moissanite. Not enough oxygen to be silica carbide.

Also your silica carbide should be silicon carbide or man made moissanite. Not enough oxygen to be silica carbide. That's the label that came with it. Haven't had time to print a new one yet. Put the Bastnasite under the lamp tonight. Lights up a real pretty purple under Short Wave UV. Didn't notice anything under long wave. Also found and ordered a real nice lead lined wooden storage box for my radioactive specimens.

Got some new display boxes yesterday. These are 2" cubes, originally intended to be collectable golf ball displays. They should be perfect to display minerals slightly larger than thumbnail size. A Perky box just will fit inside one of these. Box closed. Box opened. (2 halves that slip together. Tight fitting.)

Specimens look pretty nice in the new boxes. I bought these mainly as storage for my radioactive minerals. Bastnasite pseudomorph after Allanite. Low level radioactive.

Did I snipe any of John's auctions from you yesterday? I'm going after a few more today.

Nah, I'm not buying radioactives right now. I need to build a bigger hot box, mine is full. I have 50 pounds of tungsten that I'm going to use for my new one. I bought bicolor aragonite, celestite, copper, barite, skutterudite, and aquamarine.
