Don't even start with the Crusades, Susan. Those began in response to the deaths of innocent pilgrims at the hands of Muslims that didn't want them visiting the Holy Lands.

Ted Kaczynski The uni bomber, was a PHD who I believe went mad protesting about environmental issues that he saw around him while living as a virtual hermit. The crusades were a very long time ago. In the modern age , there has been an attack on western values solely by Islamic fundamentalists. Their ultimate goal is the elimination of all but Islamic teachings. Americans are too generous in their view of other societies who hate everything That the US stands for. The US is the first to give aid when people are in trouble and the first to be kicked in the teeth as a reward.

The OK bombing was a much bigger mess than Boston, and there were no muslims involved. But did you just forget all the school shootings from Columbine to the most recent horror? Are they not horrible because an American did them? 3 people died in Boston, how many Sandy Hooks have we had? That's NOT terror? I do agree that the US tries to give aid where we can, but some of the time, we cause the need for aid. When stuff happens, no one has clean hands.

Well, we know that the outcome of this will be the Democrats screaming for more gun control and the Republicans screaming for more national security privacy invasion.
And now, Chechen is on the shyte list too... even tho they've been all over themselves denying anything to do with these 2 today, while the Russians (Putin) must be smiling like Cheshire cats because they've been calling the Chechens terrorists for decades.
The sad part is that the Chechen people tried to fight a civil war against Russia and lost... and the US saved their lives letting them come here... and this is how they repaid us.

popular western literature likes to perpetuate the myth of the peaceful pilgrim sojourning to the Holy Lands and the terrible Moors impeding their paths that lead to the Crusades but I think the all bloodshed had many other complicated origins definitely and terrorist come from all nationalities, religious & political affiliations

Yes, Solely. The other tragic events were perpretated by individals who for whatever reasons, were unbalanced mently. They offered no demands, no Manifesto. They carried out hellish acts under no inducement from elsewhere. Isamic terrorists are encouraged to carry out these attrocities to further Islam and they are offered the reward of marterdom and promises of heavenly delights. Really, even after 9/11 do you still doubt that the US is under attack. Do you still want to give the benefit of the doubt to your attackers?.

What? That's backwards. ONLY the American terrorist acts were committed with a 'manifesto'. The OK bomber had a Manifesto (Tim McVeigh), the Unibomber sent a Manifesto, and the Columbine shooters had a manifesto. That's just recent history, here's a list of HUNDREDS of terrorist acts in the USA: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorism_in_the_United_StatesWhere did you make this stuff up from? This week alone, BESIDES the Boston Marathon, 15 people are dead in Texas from an unexplained explosion, and a homegrown nut sent ricin to the President and other gov't officials. Hellish acts are not solely caused by Islam, we just choose to focus on them. NOR are the 2 crazy Boston Marthon bombers related to a group. OF COURSE we're still under attack, we're still fighting a WAR in Afghanistan right now. When you are AT WAR, you are going to be looking over your shoulder. But you don't blame a RELIGION for crazy people.

Entire races were eliminated in the name of Christianity in Central and South America. The white Christians took over the new land of America from the native Americans mostly by beating and killing them into submission. England (many of our ancestors) at one time controlled over 100 countries and they did not take them over with words. The white Christians have just as much blood on their hands as any other race on earth. PROBABLY MORE. And we are still trying to push our religion and way of life on half of the planet. Some of you need to crawl out of the fog you are in and see the light. We have brought this on ourselves by messing in everyone else's affairs. AND WE CAN'T EVEN TAKE CARE OF OUR OWN AFFAIRS.
I doubt that there is even one Native American on this forum so all of ya'll are immigrants and there has been bad ones from every race. Jim

I find it a little troubling that the FBI had the older brother on the radar and it took them so long to make any inquiries of his actions in the terrorist bombing
Yet on the other hand it goes to prove how open & private our society can still be mohs

Yep, Think of all the new rules and regulations, all of the lost freedoms, all the money spent on DHS, TSA etc. Yet, for all that, it was a citizen that that made the catch. After the last of our freedoms are gone, we will realize too late, our folly. Well, looks like the Chechen president agrees with the 'Blame America First' movement. Chechen President Says American Upbringing to Blame www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/chechen-president-says-american-upbringing-blame_718098.htmlAnd as for the FBI interviewing the older brother back when, that was because a "Foreign Country" had advised them that he was someone to watch. That country was obviously Russia. Putin is in a very nice position about now.

The uncle of the bombers gave an interview that offers reasoned perspective to all sides of this tragedy of terrorism, it is indeed both. I am disappointed in FOX for only playing small meaningless sound bites from this while omitting what he really had to say. It is worth watching the whole thing, note how the press treats him. . . from 6:25 on is a most poignant reminder that clarity is crucial.

According to both the Uncle and Chechnya President, they had never been to Chechnya, so who DO you blame?

Does any body know how quickly the FBI got a lead on identifying these idiots from the pictures they posted of the video surveillance?
Did they get any leads at all? Did the young one really attend school the next day?
